Unsane - It's shot on an iPhone, so that automatically makes it good.

  • Intermittent Denial of Service attack is causing downtime. Looks like a kiddie 5 min rental. Waiting on a response from upstream.

So this bit of dumb dropped today:
So, is this the future of filmmaking? Will hacky horror movies get passes because of their cameras? Am I the only one who wants a Half in the Bag video on this just so "It was shot on an iPhone!" can be the next "Twelve years in the making!"?

Also Tangerine did it first, and it'll probably still be better than this.

That resolution's going to look great on the big screen. :story:

This makes me remember the time when one of my instructors years ago made it a big deal that The Hobbit trilogy was being filmed using the then-new RED cameras.

Cameras are cool and all, and filmmakers are always looking for new ways to cut back on costs or to improve the techniques, but for that to be overshadowed by "You can film movies with iPhones now, here's some 'ground-breaking' films to prove it!" makes me chuckle.

This appears to be a horrible rip off of Shutter Island.
:powerlevel: My aunt works at a mental health hospital, and she loves watching these kinds of movies just to point out inaccuracies. She'll have a field day with this.

Or look at Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, where Ang Lee invested untold amounts of time, money and resources into a camera rig that most people agree ate ass on the big screen. Any framerate not in the standard 24-30 range is bound to come off as distracting and unimmersive.

The sting sound effect they're using sounds like a distorted Tim Allen grunt.
I'm all for trying new things in film, but sometimes you have to stop and ask why something hasn't been done before. Nobody's filmed a movie with horse feces smeared across the lens in every shot, that doesn't mean doing so would be revolutionary and worthy of praise.

Clearly you aren't very familiar with the film industry. Ok, well scratch the "worthy" part.

Doesn't look too bad but I just watched the trailer on my phone so that's not saying much  also I find it hard to believe they filmed it with an iPhone since you can clearly see the iPhone is on the actress' hand right at the start.

Magnets, how do they work anyways?

Because dumb people see it as the fun and wacky house when in reality it's just the one they shove all the dumb unfunny morons in.
It's the blue collar school so hipster cucks wouldn't fit into it. They'd more fit into none of the schools because they aren't real and were made for gay and vaginal children.
