US Instances of Voter Fraud (Megathread?) - Probably a good idea to have a thread on this given how often it's discussed and will continue to be discussed until November.

Is mail in voting autistic?

With both sides of the 2020 US Presidential Election expressing concern about voter fraud and the integrity of mail-in voting, I feel it may be a good idea for the farms to have a thread regarding this topic; Particularly so after watching Democrats vehemently deny the possibility of election fraud occurring during the Department of Justice hearing held July 28, 2020 in which AG William Barr testified.

Links will just go to archives.

Please limit discussion to voter fraud and mail-in voting. Election commentary should be kept to the 2020 elections thread. The goal here is to compile receipts of issues with mail-in voting and voter fraud so it's more difficult for people to memory hole.

I think we should switch back to only the people who own land can vote. rent fags btfo

also, just enable voter id, its the right to vote, not the right to vote anonymously

I've never understood the lack of voter ID laws in the US. I mean, I understand why certain people was argue against them in current year, but how was this not put on the books in the 50s/60s? As far as I can tell, you've always needed ID to participate in any sort of election in Canada, and no one whines about it.

I agree. They should be provided free to every registered voter. (Otherwise, it could be considered forcing payment to vote.)
E- Like those people walking around major cities registering people? Give them each a camera to take your picture, and add it directly to the voter registration cards that you get in the mail.

i think almost every country in the world requires you to show passport or at least a govt issued ID card in order to vote
america not doing this seems baffling to me

A certain political party has made it an issue of racism and elitism and voter suppression. Yet for something European countries do this isn't something they want to copy. 🤔

You can get a job with your birth certificate and SS card. Both of which are provided for free. There's not really much that you actually need a government issued iD for.

-Most jurisdictions have a mandate that you have ID in case you are stopped by the police.
-Traveling by airplane
-International Travel
-Any place that requires licensing for gun ownership
-Operating a motor vehicle
-Accessing most bars/casinos
-Any job that requires a background check will likely ask for it
-Volunteer positions requiring a background check will almost certainly ask for it
-Purchasing liquor
-Purchasing tobacco

What exactly is the argument for no voter ID?

I mean, if it isn't implemented whats stopping me from going around the country on election day and voting at dozens of booths with no consequences whatsoever?
They argue that minorities and migrants are too poor/too dumb to get an ID. In reality, it's because they know it prevents them from bussing voters, ballot stuffing, and letting illegals vote.

Everyone has some sort of government ID. If they don't, they're shiftless layabouts who aren't voting anyways.

An ID (which looks like but isn't a driver's license) costs what, $30 tops?

Generally speaking I think that this thread ought to be in the 2020 elections thread, since that's where I'm expecting that the topic of the thread is going to veer anyways, but given that I also expect to see more and more stories related to this coming out the closer that we get to the election considering that the Democrats have chosen mail-in-voting as a hill worth dying on, we'll just see how it goes.

If the thread can stay largely on-topic then it's fine where it is, but if it devolves too deeply into Orange Man VS Sniffing Man then you'll probably have to be merged. The Press Secretary had a Twitter thread a short while back related to mail-in voting concerns, and the news ticker for the Department of Justice is a good place to catch wind of these sorts of stories as they pass through, too.

My hope is that this stays focused on voter fraud, specifically issues with mail-in voting. If we have a thread for this with receipts, it becomes harder for people to bury/memory hole.

Just updated the OP to reflect this.
