It is completely absurd to me that anyone expects anything to come from this audit. Even if they found incontrovertible proof that the election was rigged, overwhelmingly so, there's no way in hell the people who found it would release that information to the public, regardless of their affiliation. Everyone on both sides of the aisle knows damn well that would cause serious civil unrest and this country's leadership both red and blue has a very acute shortage of spines incase you haven't noticed.
Any conspiracy with the resources and coordination to rig an election would logically have the resources to cover up any attempt at investigating the alleged fraud. There wouldn't even be an audit going on if there was anything they could find; everyone proposing such a thing would be suicided or #metoo'd before they could order such a thing.
Don't get me wrong, I want to see this thing catch fire more than anybody else, but you're gonna have to wait a bit longer for that.

As was already stated, recount is not an audit, is not a recanvass. This is not goalpost moving. They were supposed to do all three in GA and managed to wiggle out of the latter two, doing exactly what you have stated - feeding the same ballots to the same machines, obtaining exactly the same result. No shocker here.

This. A Detroit election official already brought up this issue months ago. This was around the time Republicans refused to certify the results for Wayne County due to pretty much all precincts being out of balance. She went on to say feeding the ballots through the machines wouldn't change anything and was pointless. She said it was pointless because even if they did a recount or audit, 70% of Wayne County's ballots were locked in metal boxes and could not be opened without the consent of the head of elections.

I don't completely disagree with you, I do think that's a likely outcome of the next 4 years. Republican Party has plenty of time to try and excise him from the party with out getting themselves kicked out instead, something they are currently struggling to do. Trump really needs to throw his influence behind Primary campaigns against those undermining him in the party, he probably could do severe damage at the State level, and probably strongly influence the House and maybe a few Senate seats.
