I've never watched any of his movies, and I only know of him from reading his wikipedia article, but he seems like a horrible person. I'm sure you guys know more about him than I do.

Honestly don't see Uwe Boll as a lolcow. At least not anymore. He had his moment as a shitty movie maker but at this point it just kind of comes and goes. Had his time in the sun (or the boxing ring) and that was that. I do love that when a guy who actually trains like Seanbaby approaches Uwe about the fight that Uwe pusses out.

And yeah, I like the fact that he challenged several untrained people to a fight and then backs down when a trained fighter wants to fight him. To Boll's credit, at least he thought the untrained guys he did fight had guts.

I actually kind of like Uwe Boll's films, because if you happen to like cheesy films, they're just terrible enough. I don't think I've ever had any real cringe-inducing moments watching them - for most part, they're just cheesy and entertaining. Sort of enjoyable at times, at least with enough beer and popcorn. If I really have to say anything damning about the films, let's just say the guy really needs to fire his editors - there's always a few bits of utter bore that really should have gone.

The only horrific thing about this is that all of the money could have gone toward making good films, but hey...

Street Fighter had "but for me it was Tuesday." Uwe Boll really didn't have much of anything in his movies. I'd pay to watch Manos: The Hands of Fate before being paid to watch an Uwe Boll movie.

If there is one thing I can say that is good about Uwe Boll, it is that he appears in the Postal film where he gets attacked by the creator of the game where Boll then gets a small pistol shot in the nuts, says "I hate video games." and drops dead.

I agree. I also have a soft spot for kind of shitty movies. Watching them is kind of a hobby of mine and Uwe Boll's films was one of the reasons I got into all of that.

They're good in small doses and he boxed his critics. When people say "fite me" they're channeling Boll.

Meh, for me Bloodrayne was boring but not particularly bad otherwise. I even kind of liked In the Name of the King, it had its campy charm to it. Surprisingly, wikipedia states that the reception of Tunnel Rats, Rampage and Darfur was actually positive. Has anyone seen those films? Are they actually good?
