What are your thoughts on this title? Is it a creative original game? Or just a knock off.

I personally plan on writing a review video on the game and what I think. Spoiler: I'm going to throw shade at the anti cheat software Riot Vanguard.

I understand and completely agree. But it does fix a few things both had.

It's really telling that the viewer numbers were highly inflated by the twitch drops for a key.

It just looks like a basic bitch meld of CSGO and Overwatch, and just like the two will have a niche viewing audience. Because of the CSGO influence the playerbase won't be anywhere near Overwatch once the novelty falls off.

its a csgo with spells. I didnt realy enjoyed it, being slowed when i am shot was annoying as hell, and because of the mapdesign every match is about checking corners, and thats not realy fun. Also the game looks like dogshit

played one match and it's so horribly generic that i just uninstalled it

honestly, Valorant is like... if you took these basic Discord emojis and turned them into a game

At least character designs + the art style could carry Overwatch for a bit.

It looks like the most uninspired fps in existence. Riot’s bullshit’ll probably destablize Blizz’s game before CSGO if only because of how artificial the OW scene is right now. I’m wondering how badly they’ll fuck up their fighting game now considering all the forced esports shit they seem to rely on for marketing.

People are definitely gonna stay on CSGO because why bother learning all this stuff for a game you can't sell skins in, that potential jackpot is too good to give up

I think OW players did start whining about it taking people in but who really cares about them at this point

Played a few rounds last night because a friend was raving about it.

It's the definition of "meh".

The friend who recommended it plays a bunch of League of Legends so i probably shouldn't have listened to him at all.

It is. Not putting Tencent spyware on my PC. I have not played it but the streams are unwatchable to me. Such a snooze fest.

So I looked into Vanguard because Riot loves banning the shit out of people and it's supposed to be harmless if you're just running the game. What makes autistic is that it starts running in the background as soon as you fire up your toaster and it actually blocks those programs that shows how hard you're pushing your PC, which is something that every gamer that's worth their salt has.

Plus, they're paranoid over cheaters, but that's normal for them..

You know a game is shit when the tutorial is the best thing about it. But I was expecting screencaps of their forums, proof that they reskinned the maps from CS:GO (again, screencaps or a clip show from that game), and a more detailed explanation of Vanguard.

At least it's wasn't too long, though.
