Vaughaniod or Vaughnerin -

I am on mission to find anime I watched last year and can't pronounce the name of. It was 1990 area. It had these Cronenberg robot monsters call Vauganiod or Vaughnerin. They would look like normal humans and then turn into these monsters and fight each other. I'm not sure if it would be genre mecha.

I wonder if they might have been saying Bhagavan; lord-deity in Hindi.

It was Vajra. I thought the anime was called Vajranoid; name for robot monsters in the show.
