His life and the lives of his ilk are usually quite dull and dreary. As another user uncovered, this chap already tried to have physical power early on by going the gym, but gave up since, like most things in his life, its too hard. Bugmen like him often have deep power fantasies of becoming the new revolutionary inteligencia much like Leon Trotsky. However unlike Trotsky most of them are too weak or craven to lead a protest, let alone the power fantasy death squads they dream of leading into thier childhood bully's home.

Overall looking at Ian I find him to be more and more of an uncanny caricature of what plenty of people see as a modern male leftist, a weak and frustrated individual, often finding themselves in a one sided power dynamic with their romantic relationship. I.e hes "poly" which lets be honest, she has him be the balls and has free reign to fuck other blokes. His weakness as a person makes him okay with this domestic arrangement, and he justifys this through the free love philosphy of bertrand russel and how trendy and progressive poly relationships apparently are. All while at the same time deep down hes seething and expresses his internal anger at this by wishing he was the supremo commisar of the revolution, executing the states enemies, otherwise known as those more successful than himself. Well thats my take on it anyway, theres alot going on with chaps like him and we're seeing more and more of them much to my amusement.

He has an unbelievably punchable voice. I am thankful that however the great algorithm chooses content for us, it didn't choose Vaush for me until he ended up on another stream I like. Via Sargon, who is often a conduit to things I do not like. I generally like Sargon, but he really is an uncanny conduit for yuckiness. When you put Sargon and Vaush on a stream together, Sargon looks like an elder statesman and scholar.

Vaush has about a grade nine education, from what I can tell. He is angered by people who have studied politics and economics and is afflicted with that mental disorder where you think "human interaction" involves interrupting people and naming a "logical fallacy" then parading around like the intellectual peacock you are.

It is too easy to call him autistic, I don't think he is...he's just really, painfully stupid. If he could string together respectful sentences, it would be easier to see that he doesn't know SHIT about organizational theory or institutionalization, and consequently doesn't have any insight WHATSOEVER into collective behaviour.

These people don't lead revolutions. These people are crushed under the wheels first.

Okay, so, I'll be the first to admit my first exposure to Vaush was just his debate with his equally incompetent yet intellectually inferior counterpart (although that's not saying much in both regards), Sargon. Thus, I haven't been viewing Vaush's content for too long.

However, although this thread is my first exposure to his degeneracy, his content is equally pathetic. Well, perhaps that's too harsh, but it still isn't something to write home about. He certainly has dominated in debates against a few of his opponents, many of which self-identified as "Nazi" or "alt-right," but that isn't saying much considering his opponents were cataclysmically stupid. In the same way I look at Sargon bumbling his way through poorly written hyper-leftie articles, Vaush's takedowns of double-digit IQ hyper-rightie opponents fails to impress me--although granted, it takes considerably more skill than what Sargon does.

I give credit where credit is due. Vaush at least Googles what he wants to talk about before speaking up, and he sticks to a position. That's almost entirely why he wins debates against woefully unprepared and amateurish opponents who often swap/abandoned/fail to support their positions on the fly, Sargon included. He might even be a step above and use Google Scholar to search for material. But Vaush is a good a debater as Sargon is a...person who...reads articles? "Commentator." Let's just call Sargon a "commentator." Anyway, I'm not aware of any debate he's had with Kraut, but if he lost that debate by your own admission, then that speaks even more poorly of his ability to argue considering Kraut is an absolute neanderthal.

You can like Vaush's debates. I certainly find them amusing myself, but only due to the sheer levels of stupidity his opponents operate on. But, and to continue my comparison with Sargon, just as anybody with a similar mindset can replicate Sargon's ability to read bottom-of-the-barrel news articles and guffaw at them, anybody with a similar mindset can take the place of Vaush in his debates and easily dismantle such embarrassingly clueless opponents.

Lastly, Vaush's opinions are stupid because I disagree with them, so hmph.

He only has an undergraduate degree, and it's in a pretend subject. He had a chat earlier this month with a guy doing a social sciences PhD, where he asks

"Do you ever worry that the work of academics has been done? Like, if anyone's now familiar with academia, if anyone's decently well-read, they now have all of the information they need about the world as it is and what needs to be done to improve it?"

Vaush wins debates because he's successfully copied Destiny's fast-talking patronising belligerence, disingenuousness and overconfidence. Here he is debating someone much smarter than him, and dismantling any possibility of a conversation at the first opportunity.

It's quite entertaining, and nothing to be ashamed about on youtube. The stuff he should be ashamed about is all the greasy shit that happened on Discord. He is almost without question just a Bachelor of Arts at most. The only way to get a PhD with autism levels that crippling is to be black, a woman, or in the hard sciences where everyone has autism.

Speaking of which, did he get his degree in CA or WA? It seems like he's living with friends from undergrad, given their similar ages. If he didn't move after college he might have gone to the University of Puget Sound or Pacific Lutheran University, which are both in Tacoma. University of Washington also has both a Seattle campus and an annex in Tacoma so he might have gone there too.

Edit: I just noticed, but if that address is current then he lives in Hilltop, which is both very close to UW Tacoma and also used to be one of the shittiest, blackest, most violent parts of the city.
