As someone who tried going vegan for a couple of months, let me say that privileged white vegans are an insufferable bunch, and Erin is no exception to that rule. In fact, actually looking though some of her posts, it is incredibly obvious that Erin IS one of those really privileged white vegans who think giving their money to another corporation makes them a better person just because they buy "cruelty-free" while not giving a fuck about the people that were exploited in getting her "cruelty-free" vegan meal.![]()
I'm sorry I just... someone talked about how a cow can feed a lot of people, and she brought up indigenous tribes, then acted offended that this person was using indigenous tribes as smokescreen.

tried to find the source on her blog, but either she's edited it away or her blog is just THAT shit.
How in the actual FUCK can you even TRY to justify eating products that came from borderline, if not full-blown slave labor and still call your diet "cruelty-free"? Just because it doesn't have animal products doesn't mean that exploitation was not involved in the process of having your food. Sometimes the most ethical meal may include animal products, including meat.
Ethical consumption under capitalism is one of the biggest lies there is and militant vegans can stay mad about the fact that their diet is not "cruelty-free" and actually pretty exploitative.
