I don't understand how grown-assed adults can take this sort of thing seriously, yet constantly being told it's 'art'. No video game has ever come close to the level of even a below-average movie or novel. Why do y'all take this sort of thing seriously?

I don't take it seriously. I don't even have time to play them much these days because I'm a functional home-owning adult who works 40+ hours a week.

The only video game I'd consider ever coming close to a movie/art is the Metal Gear series. But when grown ass men talk about their Supah Mayro and Zelda it's just cringeworthy.
