Has anyone here mentioned how Vinny's mods fucking suck at being mods? He's got a few good ones, but some of them definitely feel like nepotism on his part. Especially Charonian and DesertP, the latter of whom is only funny when Vinny does the whole DESERT P bit. Otherwise, the actual guy is an annoying prick who sucks at his job and tries WAY too hard to be funny. Seriously, he's so fucking obnoxious he's the only one I have blocked so I don't need to see godawful attempts at "humor".

Tbh, I think Charonian has been less annoying in recent years with bringing up political stuff in chat randomly- though I haven't really seen her in chat much to begin with, so maybe I'm not as up to date as I thought. Allow me to ask you though, what's she been doing recently? As for DesertP, he has that Jimmy Fallon thing going on where anytime someone speaks, let alone breathes, he's like BAHAHAHAHA HOLY SHIT *pounds table*... and that happens literally every time he joins Vin's streams. As far as his other mods go, Dave, Sphinx and Mono are cool in my book. *Edit: Also noticed a few nights ago that DemEngineerz is still a mod and hangs around in chat sometimes. Neat.

Is it weird that I've never watched a single Vinesauce stream? I always just wait for the VODs to show up in my subscription box then see if they're worth checking out. All of the talk here about the absolute state of the chat just makes me even less interested in registering on Twitch.
For that matter they're pretty much the only streamers I can tolerate. No bullshit or loud donation messages every minute. Bless them.

Sup fellow monky? Having a discussion in chat is basically near-impossible to how things were 7-8 years ago when Chatango was still around. Unless you're a tenured viewer, a mod, a prominent booru artist or fellow streamer (a la Hacker), the odds of people replying to you or having Vinny read your message is pretty slim most nights. I've seen some decent discussion on nights where he isn't doing sunday stream stuff or playing Cyberpunk, but you're still gonna have waves of :LUL:'s and :Kappa:'s flooding the chat for a good majority of the time. I'd stay waiting for the VODs if I were you, since John Fullsauce is way more up to speed on uploading them than Vappy ever was... and the thumbnails are great.

The state of chat, which I deride as well, aside, it IS more fun to watch with it on. Fullsauce feels like a baseball game with the roar of the crowd muted, a big part of the fun is chat reacting.
But you just have to remember to read it as a pastiche and not actually READ each of the awful comments individually.

That's just the thing, really. He has the same charisma you'd expect from a good comedic actor, but he also has the attention span of a fly, and he keeps doing stupid shit his chat tells him to do because he is perpetually Marty Mcfly being called a chicken. Even though he sucks at a lot of games in the weirdest ways imaginable, he still manages to make those moments entertaining. You might watch a video or two from the Second Jerma channel, I recommend this Lego Star Wars video, and his playthrough of The Thing for ps2 if you have 45 minutes or so.

Mike has been going full-bore faggot for a while, dude has gone all in on being a total SJW hoping it'll get him viewers. He's always been desperate for a bigger audience so it's unsurprising. Less risky than going the other way, especially on Twitch.

I don’t think it’s much of a secret that Jabroni Mike has absolutely played up his appreciation for the LGBT+ community when he was still calling people trannies less than 5 years ago. It’s not even like he has a massive audience either when you look at the big picture: his audience is 90% recycled Vinesauce viewers and rejects. Don’t ask me where the other 10% comes from because I don’t care to look right now. :^) He genuinely has no reason to be pandering as much as he does because his audience is so small.

I recently watched this 2 hour highlight video of his Simpsons Hit & Run playthrough (the full game is about 15 hours of play excluding 100% completion, so it actually is cut down quite a bit) and it was... peculiar, to say the least. I've never really been interested in Jerma, so it was my first time being properly exposed to his content aside from short, sub-1 minute clips. I wasn't expecting much, was just bored, and even though at no point did I find him particularly funny, I also couldn't stop watching. It was like a mildly interesting phenomena that was just perplexing enough to hold my attention. The only thing I CAN say is that I found his repeated misfortune hilarious after a while, especially in the last 20-30 minutes of the video, but that's more him being unlucky and less him being a genuinely entertaining person.

Still, I can see now the appeal of his content - he's a DSP type not in the sense that he's an embarrassing, self-important burnout, but in the sense that he seems to experience misfortune at the most comedic times, making him VERY easy and fun to pick on. That also makes him a good comedic foil to Joel and Vinny, who tend to get pretty lucky in games (Joel's frequent blunders in gambling notwithstanding).

Also worth mentioning that unless you're in the right time zone and/or don't have responsibilities that require a normal sleep schedule, it's honestly a real pain to watch Vin live. I used to live on the West coast and watching live was way more accessible (streams would start at 9 and end around 12:30 at night). Now living more to the East and being in a grad program? Yeah good luck ever catching a stream unless its a rare mid-day one.

Honestly though? I'm glad Vinny has a weird-ass schedule. Imagine how bad the community would be if he streamed at normal hours and brought in more of the usual Twitch chat riff-raff. His current schedule is for the best.
