Look, I disagree with Marissa on most things, but holy fuck you shouldn't be uploading a video of yourself playing onto the Internet if in the first 21 seconds of the recording you've butchered your spacatto, played an octave (D4 and D5 at 0:11) out of tune, and played thirds that sound like they'd come from south-east asian microtonal music (0:21). This isn't just a bad take, they need to go and practice for another month or two on that piece. Fuck, their violin isn't even in tune (the A string is flat). If you have the gall to leave that in a video and upload that to the Internet, I don't really know what to say.

My guess is he just doesn't want to play violin but his mom forces him to. I really can't imagine why you'd uplaod a video like that otherwise.

Anyway: the painting price point. I wasn't familiar with the term dry fasting, but what the fuck? You don't eat or drink for 24 hours+? That's retarded.

Normal fasting actually can be quite good for improving cognitive function, notably among people with Alzheimer's. I remember when my grandfather fasted he was basically himself again, for the short time that the fasts lasted (obviously you can't do it all the time). Can be really powerful, gives people who thought their family members were gone some last moments where you can speak candidly about the situation and don't have to pretend everything is fine.

Though I think this is fairly well known, humans instinctually engage in fasting in high stress situations that require extra cognitive ability.

But there's no benefit to depriving your body of water. All that does is lower the quality of function of all your organs. Why the fuck does anyone think that is a good idea???
