Oh good lord no. The only company i’ve seen have decent pre painted minis was fantasy flight games. I’d honestly expect them to put stickers with the easy to build kits so people don’t have paint them.
With how much GW wants to fuck over their official tournament scene I'm amazed they haven't made rules on what each army can look like in terms of paint schemes. If pre-painted plastic wasn't so expensive to produce they would force you to use those instead.
Luckily we have non-Official Warhammer tournaments out there to go to that aren't sponsored by GW. Only reason to get a sponsorship is either cheaper products for awards or free products. It's not like WotC and their DCI number and rankings. Around here, tournaments for $30. More than enough to pay for stuff and make a profit.

If they’re cheap enough, it might be worth it to pick up a few to make a shit-tier Warcy warband for AI scenarios.
If you can find decent ones for cheap, you can clear-coat them and repaint the parts you don’t like. I’ve done this with some old throwaway d&d minis to make villagers/civilians, hostages, zombie hordes, proxies, etc. I just made a couple of corpse piles for Shadows of Brimstone because I wanted something more substantial than the counters that came in the box.
All of this assumes you can find them for cheap. Ebay seems to be full of people who think that their old bits box is going to help them buy a car.

Pete the Wargamer has used Sigmarines in Marine conversions before. They end up looking like slightly ornate marines. I imagine Primaris Sigmarines will look more or less the same.
God I fucking hate people who try to convert sigmarines to sang guard and captains.

The most clear cut reason is probably because AoS just isnt as big as 40k. A more nuanced answer is that since they slashed stock send outs to LGS, they are probably sitting on a huge pile of them in their own warehouse to get their full pound of money. I would also suspect that they are still in fact producing them as we speak.

I haven't hit my FLGS in a while, because I know when I do I'm gonna end up buying an Imperial Knights Army -- and probably Dominion. Did the FLGS not get as much stock as they did Indomitus? My store was literally getting in as many as GW would let him buy, I think he was reselling them on ebay if there were no takers.
GW sent them a list of how much dominion they were getting. Then later sent an email saying "yea only half of that, you'll get the rest in July"

Nah. I'm waiting to see if that plastic Heresy box is really a thing, plus I'm holding out for the updated Idoneth battletome. Shark-riding Cthulhu elves are the only AOS army I've ever really been interested in.

So UK LGS got too many and USA got too little? Its hard to imagine a single shop being able to sell 38 of these in most areas.
