It's also like that on the GW and FW sites for restocking items.
Turns out the buddy in that picture ordered too many and there wasnt enough interest. When I went into the store to preorder my Dominion the line was 9 people, which I didn't think was 2 bad actually. But buddy wanted to sell 8 grand worth.

So the guy spent literally all his money on Dominion and no one's buying them? To the point that... is he offering a 15% discount?
He apparently sold them all at that discount, so he managed it. 15% is a pretty big cut, seeing how iirc LGS' get 40% off GW merch.

Anyone dipped into Inquisitor: Martyr: Subtitle: Colon: Expansion?

I thought the game was in maintenance mode but they're still running seasons and events and shit. I rolled a Tech Priest and am having a lot of fun, but the voice acting is a real gem - everyone feels like they understand the source material and are all incredibly boisterous, hammy and British As All Hell. There's an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor who is so gruff I could easily believe he would kick the shit out of a room full of Space Marines.

Hilariously, your ship's captain seems to be voiced by the only person who is taking it seriously. She's not bad as such, but you practically hear the confusion in her voice as she reads her lines, not having the faintest clue what any of this means.

We all know if they could they would.

Actually, coming back to this -- Didn't they literally include paint schemes that give special stat bonuses in the Dwarf-Jew-Zeppelin faction of AoS? We're not that far off, but they do seem to have backed off on it.

At least, we haven't had any incidences of something like "I'm choosing to may my homebrew Marines Chapter as Dark Angels" -> "No, you can't do that because they're not Dark Angels, so you have to play them as a successor chapter with the build-your-own-chapter rules." That I know of.

GW primary interest is money... well sometimes... no actually always they just do weird things to make that money like telling their player base to go fuck themselves unless they agree with BLM (although that clearly didn't hurt the bottom line... so good business choice?). So GW likes money, and certainly telling people that their minis need to be the right colour would in theory mean either more mini sales (as some people would maintain multiple armies for when the meta eventually shifts) or at least more paint sales (so people can slap new colours on depending on the meta). But even GW probably thinks it's not worth the risk of alienating their fanbase, because unlike politics (where you have clear sides) telling the people who play the table top to either double or triple their minis or just repaint them for each new major rule release might be too alienating.

I own a 4k resin printer.

Yes, it is absolutely at the point we can get GW quality models. The sticking point is there's not a lot of 3D modelers and GW is currently targeting people who make anything even remotely close to GW stuff. They even had a job posting a few weeks back for an intern who will be infiltrating 3D Modeling communities and reporting what they find to GW legal.

This is something that will solve itself eventually. Even faster if someone at GW leaks the official GW STL files, which absolutely will happen someday.
Minor quibble: GW really dropped the ball not calling the files STCs.

Well those color schemes represents specific fleets, chapters, armies, etc. You can paint your armies whatever color you like, but if you paint a chapter of Salamanders, complete with onyx black skin and red eyes, and then say that they are Ultramarines, then it is clear that you are trying to powergame then play with what you have. It's fine for friendly games but I can see why GW restricts it for tournaments in the same way you can't proxy weapons and units.

So it's more or less a catch-all service because they don't have enough shows. The 3d animation looked great, the 2d stuff not so much. Looks straight out of a Powerpoint presentation. I like watching battle reports but still...don't think that's enough to justify a monthly subscription.

Did anyone just get an email im not watching the stream but Warhammer+ will also get you exclusive miniatures through it apparently.

You get it one for free after 12 months of subscription. They've hinted that there are other ways to get it, I suspect if you have an active subscription you can buy one.

So yeah, they just wrapped up the reveal, this is them scrapping shit off the floor and trying to sell it to you... mostly. Especially on what they are trying to sell this on.

An overview:
  • 5 Bongistani denari or 6 burger bucks a month. 50 pounds or 60 dollars for a year.
  • Do you like Youtube videos about Warhammer? Well now you can pay GW for that kind of content from the people you don't want. Painting(more advanced than the existing GW Youtube content that will continue), Lore videos, Battle Reports, and of course the Animation. This is a majority of the presentation, and besides animation, I couldn't give less of a fuck. I wouldn't watch this shit for free on Youtube.
    • NO ASTARTES II AT LAUNCH!
  • A Sigger Ork or a Vindicare Assassin. Models are nice, if you get the subscription in the first month you get it earlier?(they were not very specific about this at the very end as I started typing this up, I might of missed a detail) but at the end of every 12 months of subscription. Non-specific ways to get both, possibly after 24 months, maybe you can buy them outright. Probably the best thing they showed.
  • PDFs! Vast collection off all of Warhammers stuff right? Lol, nah. All of last years White Dwarfs and a selection of old out of print stuff that is "constantly expanding" Books, I think I saw a comic(I listened to this in the grocery store), old campaign stuff with Gathering Storm Fall of Cadia.
  • Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar(new one) apps included for free. So if your subscribing to both this is essentially free, if you wanted one than this is half the value of the Plus sub. This is likely the next best reason to get it.
  • VIP perks at Warhammer events. They were again not very specific as to what this means, listing possibilities of priority queuing for registration or EDIT: free exclusive merch.
Right at the end as I was typing, THEY WERE VERY CAGEY ABOUT HOW YOUR GOING TO WATCH THIS SHIT! They claim its from top of the industry streaming service developers, but wouldn't name names or say how. I don't think they have this working yet, lol.

Edit: https://www.warhammer-community.com...unmissable-heres-everything-you-need-to-know/

Warhammer community article clears some things up. Every year(optimistic at there being a year 2) there will be a new set of exclusive models, you get one free at the end of year, you get the ability to buy one of the other, probably after the year.

That one painter who is also a minis designer at GW who was forced to close his Youtube account by GW, Darren Latham, called his final painting tutorial series the Lord of Blights Masterclass. Wonder if they salvaged that situation by moving him over to Warhammer TV?
