Eh, IMO, there's only so many things you can do with hypnotism before it ceases being funny and is just stale.

And besides, if you believe some schools of thought, most people who get hypnotized at shows like this are plants put in the audience.

Yeah, I've seen this page before. It's a haven for people who want to be lolcows. Yes, that's the strangest thing. These files are supposed to "make" you do things ranging from urinating in a diaper, to acting like a dog. They literally have a self-unhelp section full of files that profess they can make you a drooling, useless man-baby. It's just strange. I guess most of them have a humiliation fetish.

I have a casual interest in hypnotism, but I really doubt any of the stuff on this site works. Hypnosis is not something that comes easy to most people.

"Real" hypnosis has nothing to do with being "sleepy," or "under someone else's control", it's actually closer to being hyper-attentive, to the point where the brain is allowed to focus on something to exclusion of all else.
To achieve such a state, the person has to be relaxed enough to allow the conscious mind to ignore outward distractions, and they also have to be in the right frame of mind. Hypnosis occurs when the brain is drawn into a state between conscious thought, and unconscious thought, which is why it is often compared to sleep. The most common way to achieve this state is by exposing yourself to monotonous stimuli, like someone speaking in a monotone voice, or listening to white noise. To put it another way, you have to be bored out of your mind to achieve a hypnotic state. Common effects that occur in such a state are feelings like euphoria, tingling, numbness, and deep relaxation. This is due to the brain ignoring normal sensations being sent from the body in order to better process the monotonous stimuli being thrown at it.

However, it does not take much to throw everything off. Distractions like noise, bodily annoyances, itching, low attention span, and yes, even sexual arousal can prevent an actual hypnotic trance from occurring, so not everyone can do it. My guess is most of these people never get into hypnosis due to the arousal caveat.

An easy way to figure out if you can be hypnotized is to watch an ASMR video online. These videos attempt to trigger this level of consciousness by droning on and on with no real purpose.

I see there's a section called "triggers". Is that where SJW's go when they don't think they get triggered by enough mundane things in every day life?

Also, there's "binaurals"... do you know what that is? Nothing more than bleeps and bloops that are supposed to have some sort of effect. I guess there's people who think that if it works on a Commodore 64, it can work on them!
