I wonder if anyone can confirm or deny this: Was Chris a brat growing up that he'd throw a temper tantrum if he didn't get his own way. The picture where he gets his lardy-arse hoisted up on to a little pony suggests that he had maybe been told he was too big/old for it but then filpped out when he didn't get his own way.

I remember feeling bad if I got told "you're too big for that" or "you're too old for that". But you'd quickly get over it.

Well, he did mention that he used to scream and screech as a mute youngster, and autistic children can be very difficult at times, so...

Lol yeah I know what you mean but I was meaning through his childhood years up to about 16?

I'm wondering if his sense of entitlement nowadays because he is used to having everything handed to him (was he showered with gifts or did he damand them?). If he is used to things being just handed to him without having to ask I can see how he expects things to just show up for him these days, like a ground up sweetheart for example.

I ONLY got recognized for my Grades with a Star Pin, yet they had MORE FANCIER AWARDS for more important qualities. I should have been Highly Recognized for my ARTISTIC TALENTS I showed in my Many Art Classes for the Award Ceremonies before Graduation Day. I felt crestfallen greatly from not getting recognized for any of my Talents. I EXCELLED IN MATH TOO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
I had gotten over the Award Ceremony on the Graduation Day, but to add Lemon Juice to an open wound, it was a Dark and Rainy Day that Day, and they handed out MORE TALENTED AWARDS right before handing out any diplomas. When I went up there to get mine, I was feeling depressed, upset, crestfallen and ticked off. When the award was handed to me, I took it without looking anyone in the eye, and I did not shake anyone's hands. I just walked back to my seat in the Graduating Crowd. Then soon after, I just walked the wrong way up the center aisle, found an isolated table and cried myself out. My mother found me later and comforted me; my father was ashamed of the way I acted, and he would later still be angry at recalling the moment. Tiffany also found me and gave me a caring moment of condolences back there. I gave her a plush Psyduck as a graduating gift beforehand.

From what Chris said about his Manchester High School graduation.

Hmm, I think he may be used to having things just handed to him rather than having to ask or make any effort to get them. Could it be possible that nowadays he's way more of a brat than he ever was as a child?

Barb always gave him whatever he wanted. Bob tried to insist on some boundaries, but I think it's obvious he lost that war pretty handily.

Remember, Chris has always made it clear that he believes having autism means he is entitled not only to have whatever he wants, but to have it right now and with no cost or consequences.

he's even evolved past throwing fits because he isn't immediately getting what he wants. he's now moody and depressed because his whims aren't being catered to.

but also not forget the lengths he went to in order to get what he wanted. he'd scam businesses and steal from his parents.

^Hell, let's not forget the lengths his psyche had to be forced to in order to kick him up from tantrums to the comparatively mature 13-year-old-style depressive moodiness as a response to not having things handed to him. Only took him 30 years to reach it.

Lol, I like to think I'm a better person now than I was as a child. As I child I done and said some really nasty things to people (some I still feel bad about), things I'd never consider now. Gotta laugh though that Chris somehow managed to devolve that than evolve as he got older.

And I'd say that's because Barb is now so feeble that he knows that throwing a fit to her no longer gets results. I don't think he's matured, I think he knows that his mom is an animated carcass no longer worthy of his attention because it doesn't give him things. She was *ahem* always pretty when she was out buying him things. Now it's no longer his purpose to serve her. Selfish prick.

^Actually, that's probably pretty true. His moodiness is more a result of his household experience having decayed rather than any actual personal development.

Lol I loved the Gobots but none of my mates remember them. I'm sure they were Bandai's attempt to cash in on the Trans Formers success, did they not have their own cartoon too:

"Mighty Robots, mighty vehicles, Gobots".

Sorry for off topic.

What a cruel irony for Barb that even the son she tried to make happy through the showering of all the stuff he asked for ended up not loving her anymore.
