Through the Chapter 11 process, we will continue normal operations and maintain that same editorial focus. That means covering E3 next week, reporting about gaming culture in the months to come and, of course, writing the best possible review of Half-Life 3 when it finally comes out.


At some point this year, we and the rest of the sites at our company will be doing what we do under a new owner. That’s a ways off. For now, you can expect us to proceed with business as usual. We will continue to try to put the best possible gaming site out there, one that we hope will interest you for months and years to come.

Ziff-Davis has expressed interest in purchasing Gawker. If they were to, say, put John C. Dvorak in as managing editor of Kotaku -- it would yield something that I would likely read, and it would also create a site that would interest the general public for months and years to come.

We all know that the phrase "gaming culture" is code for "Why don't developers write games that validate the feelings of particular SJW-approved marginalized groups?" John C. Dvorak would see to it that the focus is less on SJW appeasement, and more on the games themselves. That's why we read game reviews, correct?

I've been reading Inside Track for quite a while now. It's time that a new generation has the chance to read him, and Kotaku provides the perfect vehicle for that.
