No, and yes, respectively. I think he is saying what he *thinks* he should say to keep up appearances and his brand. I think the motivation is part fear and part good intentions. It is like he is taking the whole 'turn the other cheek' to a pacifistic extreme and being a doormat.Are you saying that Vic basically lied on stream? I get it: he can't (and shouldn't!) say everything that comes to his mind, but he needs to show some more steel to get these bullies to stop.
I personally think he is afraid of losing what support he has from the (mostly) pure and wholesome fanbase he has, and because he has lost so much, it is THAT much more dependent on it. It is unhealthy, and he is keeping his true emotions and feelings inside to not rock the boat. Just look at all the hate that the Cachunklehead person got over having Ron on the show. He has rabid fans that think he walks on water and farts cotton candy.
This is the same thing abused people do: rationlise the situation to not lose what crumb of happiness they have.
