Slowed down her work-out for lulz (and even then it’s still pretty sped up) and caught this face
Also caught her bumping the mouse at the last second and noticed it’s a YouTube video stopwatch.
Reasons why this particular method is dumb:
Color me skeptical, but her rate of progress seems a bit...too fast to me.
Actually, I think that’s why I’m having trouble seeing this as more than an elaborate act. In her own words (that she keeps repeating), she “wants to inspire people and to be an inspiration for others” and then she follows it up with claims about wanting to be healthy. Her priorities are backwards; she wants the recognition and fame that comes with being an “inspiration,” but her health comes after. She’s also hitting all the notes that other Youtubers hit when they go on thesejourneys situations with the praising her progress, the lookback at what a long, hard road we’ve been on since she began, the doubt and ridicule she’s endured (everyone loves a tragic heroine/underdog story, right?), the ever-so-gracious thanks to all her fans that kept her going, and the whole segment about things she can now do (we know you can get in the car, Amber. We saw you at the mall...).
It’s hard for me to buy that 20LBS was all it took to keep the seat up and not cram her into the door, because even prior to her being 560 she was in the backseat or crammed into the front seat. So...I find this claim to be embellished for feel good points...because again, she’s just replicating what other Youtubers do.

Reasons why this particular method is dumb:
- she has a camera and a phone. Run the stopwatch on the phone and keep it in the camera’s line of sight...
- having a stopwatch as a YouTube video gives her an out to cheat (and we all know she’s a liar) by merely adjusting the playback speed on the video. If she speeds the work-outs in post, no one is the wiser to the deception.
