I'm probably powerleveling about how much of my childhood I wasted on the internet with this one, but some time ago I had a flash game dream. The format is pretty pathetic, but I liked the idea of the dream. If I had any skills at all I would have just made it myself afterwards, since I couldn't find any evidence of it.
Edited from the document I punched up about it:
The premise of these animations, and I definitely dreamed them up as being fictional because I could see the Newgrounds window around them, was a homeless man who was secretly a bloody shapeshifting blob-like flesh-and-bone monster. Living in some kind of horrible run-down slum, he would briefly interact with some character, decide he didn’t like them, then brutally murder and consume them.
The only premise of which I remember very clearly is an episode title “(Character [I didn’t dream up a name for him]) eats pizza like a boss” where there was supposed to be some kind of humorous exchange, then the main character kills and eats a fellow homeless man who’s holding a pizza, devouring the pizza on top of his corpse. The animation style is extremely primitive, with lots of thick line and vague backgrounds.
Additionally, there was also a game associated with the character that seemed to revive the series with the character now as a gritty anti-hero instead of a deranged killer. I got the impression the game was made years later as a collaborative effort. The premise of the game is to use stealth and platforming to sneak up on thugs in a drug den and devour them one by one. I woke up before I experienced much gameplay. The graphics and animations were considerably improved, in addition to the kills and voiceover being far more violent and sadistic.
I remember feeling like the early animations were really traumatic or something, kind of how I felt when I watched something a bit too fucked up when I was that age. The feeling for the gory flash game though was one of fun, kind of like how I enjoy newer stuff by gorehounds these days.
If i'm an idiot and this is somehow a real thing i forgot about, please link it. Otherwise if I ever get some cash to fund my bullshit creative projects I'm gonna develop this.
