What evidence do you have? In the actual cartoons they did love their butt jokes, but I've never heard anything about them being furries.

None. I swear I read an interview by someone who was with Disney at the time who admitted this was common practice even then, but can't find anything remotely like that at the moment. So let me take back "known fact" and replace it with "I'm still sure it's true."

I should note that it's common practice for animators to draw porn to vent frustrations or have a little fun. (One of these days we may find out what was in C. Martin Croker's "Forbidden File"...)

Of course, if you're an animator and you're doing it because you want to jack off to it... then I'd be concerned. If you go so far as to draw porn of your coworkers... then I'd be calling the cops.

Thanks for reminding me that there have been very few people at CN and in the entire history of western animation who have gotten fucked over harder than Clay Martin Croker. What a serious loss talent even all these years later.
The guy had a lot of stuff in his toy/animation collection too and it makes me wonder where it went after he passed.

You can never win the “woke” game, because even if your show manages to be really well written and “woke”, people will still find reasons to cancel you over the most inane shit, because they have to prove that they’re more “woke” than you.

Miraculous Ladybug is my favorite example of this. It manages to have a racially diverse cast and even gay characters while actually being well written and not feeling like it’s playing the “woke” game. If I wasn’t unfortunately educated on how Internet People think, I wouldn’t have even batted an eye over these things in it.

It’s not American-made, so I wonder if that’s a factor. The show really feels like it could have come from the early 00s when tv shows, especially those intended for kids, were “diverse” without it being a political statement (which, the creator/director formerly worked on Totally Spies, W.I.T.C.H., and Code Lyoko, so he definitely has his roots in the old era).

Anyway, it has a very strong hatedom that I’ve found to be more laughable and worrisome than anything SU crits or Voltron antis ever did. They somehow manage to stay under the mainstream radar, but they’re an absolute salt mine. Every episode, every character’s actions, every writing choice, every breath the staff takes, is met with callouts and bitching from teens/adults on the internet competing for woke points with comprehension skills lower than that of a 5 year old, who can’t distance themselves from cartoons nobody is forcing them to watch.

Creator is based af and doesn’t put up with whiny shits on twitter though
