Outer Worlds. It's just KOTOR/Mass Effect but snarky.

I'm enjoying it but it is piss easy if you bother to do even a handful of early sidequests. Most enemies don't damage me any more, I can hack/lockpick anything and talk my way out of most situations despite the fact that I'm only around a quarter of the way through the main story quests according to the guide I looked up.

It really falls victim to the trend of devs wanting to shove a bunch of side content into their game without realising it breaks the game as a whole.

I bought project wingman in early march, and have spent the last 2 months trying to beat both the campaign and conquest modes on mercenary mode with realistic controls.

It's a love letter to the ace combat games, specifically ace combat zero, made by one guy. Arcade air combat with planes carrying a frankly irresponsible level of weaponry capable of leveling a small nation. Honestly I prefer it to the ace combat games, having multiple special weapons and more ammunition then is responsible for a carrier group coupled with ridiculous amounts of enemies, including landships, flying battleships, and planes with railguns.

The best part of the game by far though is the music. The dev spent 40% of his limited budget on music by jose pavoli, and the results are incredible. Most of the OST is one banger track after another, the second half of the game's tracks excel at pulling you into a cross between top gun and the final epic battle from any number of action movies, and sound fantastic through a car stereo.

Once you beat the game you get mercenary mode, which makes all the AI more intelligent and adds late game formations to the early game missions. Every level ends up a bullethell shooter made of angry hornets.

Not bad for $25.

Been playing Company of Heros lately. Great RTS, though I haven't entirely figured out how to advance up the field without being wiped out by heavy machine gun fire or AT guns. You end up having to retreat and find yourself being Butt Blitzed by Panzer divisions. Last Skirmish I played lasted 4 hours and ended up getting Anally Annihilated by the computer set to easy. An infuriating, yet addicting game. 8.5/10

Well, my Outer Worlds playthrough just came to a screeching half because one of the locations in the game is 100% hostile to me because of other quests I've done in the game earlier.

As in, every single guard and non-essential NPC aggros the second they see me which makes a bunch of sidequests unfinishable. I've checked around and it's a really common issue and Obsidians official take is "oh well, guess you'll have to kill everyone because your choices made them hostile".

Remarkably poor game design. Frontload a bunch of quests that push your rep so far into the negative with a faction that they attack on sight when you have to go to their homebase to finished the storyline.

CoD Mobile.

It's actually a robust FPS for a mobile device. Currently, there's several challenges to unlock gear and XP so I'll be fooling around with different playstyles to complete them.

I've never played the Bioshock franchise but the trilogy was on sale for $20 USD on the Nintendo Switch E-shop. I know it'd be ideal to play it on more powerful hardware but I have a 1TB micro sd card to fill up with data and I want to invest more into my Switch library anyway. I've only had about 20 minutes with it last night but it plays pretty well for what it's worth. I'm sure it'll keep me busy for at least when the Monster Hunter Rise 3.0 update releases.

Last time I played this I totally forgot what I was supposed to be doing and decided to just start all over.
Got all the weapons, and currently searching for all of the notes.
Really excited for the sequel coming out soon.

Been playing Street Fighter 5 again.

You know, after 5-6 years of development and constant changing I can happily say it's still the biggest piece a shit fighting game I've ever played and is probably the 3rd worst fighting game Capcom has ever made (Only in front of Capcom Fighting Jam and Marvel vs Capcom Infinite)

30 years of fighting game development experience and they managed to shit out this piece of garbage. Thanks Capcom, really. And a big fuck you to Ono who led this project. Glad you got fired you idiot. Cannot wait for 6 because there's no way it's as bad as this one.

I am replaying Girls' Frontline, Arknights, Azur Lane, PriConne, Blue Archive and FGO as usual. Me big weeb.

I partially remember that I used to play GFL, AL in 2018, and I was a dumb retard at the time and accidentally uninstalled both games unintentionally after 30 minutes of playing. Although I may miss AL's old UI, the new UI is enjoyable to look at. At the time, I don't even know how to bind an account and having phones that consumes battery faster than before. Especially that these phones doesn't even have good performance for these games. Man, the BGM made me dance constantly, among with BA and FGO's BGMs.

I first promptly play FGO in 2015, and after 3 years of playing in the JP server, I accidentally deleted my first FGO account and didn't even write the transfer ID before deleting the entire game. Now that I've installed both NA and JP back, I decided to start from fresh again.

Planning on playing PVZ or other games on my laptop soon and begin grinding on these mobile games I've talked about, got Flashpoint so also going to replaying some Flash games too. Cutting short the gaming experiences for now.

Started playing Elite Dangerous last night. The story is non-existent and the galaxy is mostly empty, but I'm so bad at it that even the mundane "deliver x to y system" quests are life and death encounters.

Stepmania. I’m a sucker for DDR and it’s been fun to play Stepmania again, I’ve loaded it up with all the classic DDR songs and it’s a big nostalgia hit.
Also played Silent Hill 4 again after picking it up on GOG with Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare and The Suffering. I know a lot of people have mixed opinions on Silent Hill 4 but it’s my favourite mid-gen SH game (old gen being 1-3, mid gen 4-shattered memories and new gen being Homecoming and anything after that.)

I downloaded Streets of Rage 4 with PS Now. I've played lots of Beat-Em-Ups, but surprisingly, none from this series. I've only played for about an hour, but as far as first impressions go, I really like it. I only got to stage 4 with Blaze, so I'm thinking of trying a different character the next time I play.

Some random thoughts I had during my progress:

The combos are satisfying to perform, especially when the opponents bounce in the air and you get a few extra hits in. I recently played Knights of the Round in the Capcom Beat-Em-Up Bundle, which didn't really click with me like this one does.

The cool area 2 boss, a police commissioner that can slam you into the wall with one fist, nearly killed my ass, but the area 3 boss, a dominatrix dressed like M. Bison, was a complete pushover.

I only really know Axel Stone from Project X Zone 2 (yes, I know how gay that sounds), so I don't have any real connection to the character but I don't really like his bearded look in this game. He just looks like a muscular hobo to me.

Fuck the shirtless asshole mooks that keep their hands in their pockets.

Gonna finish DQ11's final postgame boss and not deal with Le Superbosses for now.

then idk man, i'm torn between dq4 or dq8. DQ4 mobile, dq8 3ds.

Alien Isolation - the game that proves you can have too much of a good thing. First 10 hours or so are superb, constantly tense and absolutely nails the atmosphere of the film. Problem is, it just doesn't know when to quit and just keeps going. The story has already had 2 climaxes but they're only just past the halfway point, and having to constantly turn on generators or find keycards as everything breaks becomes annoying rather than tense.

Case in point, there's one part where you need to do a spacewalk to contact a ship. So put a suit on, spend several minutes slowly walking along the gantry, try the switch, it doesn't work, walk down to the next level, generator doesn't work so you need to flip all 3 switches, walk back, tune in to the frequency, walk all the way back to the space station. That's not fun or tense, that's just time wasting.

Lately I've been going through old classics. There's no any new games out that really interest me. I'm doing my top 5 now. Just finished Metal Gear Solid 3. I'm pretty deep into Jagged Alliance 2. Next ones up are Half-Life 1 and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Last one will be either Fallout 2 or New Vegas. I hate to sound like an old man but games were just better 15 years ago.

Got a PS1 emulator up and running, so I'm playing a translation of the JP version of Ace Combat 3.

The export version is a linear affair with a generic "lone pilot saves the world because everyone is incompetent" plot. The JP version has multiple branching paths with a batshit story of transhuman brain uploading, open corporate warfrare, and petty revenge. It's practically a Metal Gear Solid story, except there's an editor keeping the story going at a decent pace.

The futuristic planes are just icing on the proverbial cake. I wouldn't mind this entry getting a remake just so I can see the R series planes in HD.

Nioh 2 is flattening my dick, and that's okay.
I made it all the way through dream of the nioh and about the 33rd floor of the Underworld. Ethereal grace hunting is a bit annoying after some time but overall a pretty rad game. Now I'm playing through Nioh and I can definitely see how Nioh 2 has improved on flaws of the first game.
