Hey everyone,

I'm just curious about what baffles/fascinates/interests you the most about Chris's behavior. Whether it was his old delusions that he had literally over a billion fans (there aren't a billion Star Wars/James Bond fans out there), or how he believes that his singing voice is somehow on par with Bing Crosby/Frank Sinatra, or who knows what else.

The thing that baffles me the most is his attitude towards his artwork. The thing about Chris that damaged me the most is how my ability to judge artwork has crashed since I first got wind of the guy. After seeing what an absolute disaster of a comic he had, other people's art, no matter how lame, seemed downright awesome by comparison. I'm someone who wants to at least become a moderately good illustrator, and I can't bring myself to look at Chris's work for too long because I feel like I might end up drawing like him, and that actually scares me.

But it isn't simply that his art is so bad, it's the quality that he thinks it is. I mean he really does believe that it is so professional that it is on par with the best artists working for Marvel or Archie comics, and how he managed to slam other people's work so hard even when they're doing it purely as a gift to him. Take for example the fan drawing of Rosechu and Sonichu in formal wear. When he brought it up and 'yeah... it's OK, could be better, you got the tail wrong' and then he redrew the 'superior' version that looked like a child's imitation and said it was corrected with a straight face. I can't possibly fathom how he could do that. I'm not a very good artist (in no small part due to the fact that I barely draw), but I just can't wrap my mind as how he could possibly think his work is the coolest thing since sliced bread.

How small his world is. I know plenty of people who have little desire to know about the world, but for Chris, his autism did not help.
And so it was extremely easy to convince him that Molvania is a real country or that an English football personality is actually commercially selling his stuff over in Europe.

Not a lot baffles me about him. He is easy to figure out.

You know that split-second reaction you first have to something? That silly, self-centred, cowardly, unrealistic, ignorant response. The reaction that quickly gets pushed away by more intelligent, logical, empathetic, and grounded thoughts. Chris is what happens if those next set of thoughts never came.

It interests me because I am curious as to where that leads.

His mental capacity. It baffles me. This man could graduate high school (not that that's necessarily a giant accomplishment) but he doesn't understand extremely simple things, nor does he seem willing to learn anything that doesn't directly benefit him or back up beliefs he already has. The fact someone could pass 30 and still act like a 10-year-old is what fascinates me and also almost makes me feel sorry for him. Really makes you wonder how much of it is his autism and how much of it is narcissism.

He's good at things he can fit into templates. It's why he sucks at people.

he didn't and doesn't any concept of how many people that is. any number over 10 gets grossly exaggerated in his mind because he's mentally a child

Yeah, that part is really stupid. I mean he did read outloud the number of liters those lemonade packs had. Though Chris being Chris, he didn't know that 1 liter = 1 kilogram, which is 2.2 pounds, and the whole pack was actually 10.5 pounds total.

I'm most interested in how Chris is completely unable to use a search function on any forum he registers on. It's an interesting symptom.

That's another thing that I really find interesting about Chris. He's someone who spends most of his time cooped up in his room, probably using a computer for a large part of the day, but is completely ignorant of how to use it. I mean I work in tech support right now, and I do know that older people who use computers tend to have a very basic understanding of how they work and how to use them effectively. Most people born after 1980 who call for assistance tend to know far, far more than those born before due to the amount of computer education that schools had (and the fact that many of these people grew up with computers and have been using them since childhood). This is a guy who's gotten more computer education in school than I did (I never got HTML or ANY kind of programming ed as a kid) and yet cannot use the most basic internet functions.

While I'm at it, I'm going to say that the other thing that really astonishes me about Chris is just how inept he is at everything he does. There isn't a single thing that he's done that isn't ineptly done or half-assed in some manner. His aversion to effort is legendary in and of itself.

What is it that keeps him from giving up? Chris has said in the past that he would leave the internet or whatever, but he never made good on those claims. He's had more than his fair share of hard knocks, yet he still persists. He's aware that his efforts are all but futile. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, and I think it's certainly admirable for him to have persisted as long as he has. I feel like anyone else in his position would've given up, possibly in more ways than one. I'm sure weens and A-Logs have told him time and time again how worthless and pathetic he is and how he should kill himself and yadda yadda yadda, but as much as they get him down, Chris doesn't submit. That isn't to say Chris would sooner break before bending, as we know he's not that stubborn. But whenever we think we've seen the last of him, we get some status about Sonic's arms or some BS.
