I saw Journey back in 2015, Steve Miller Band opened for them. Really fantastic experience.

I went to a Swans concert last year and its safe to say that people do not meme when they tell you to bring earplugs. If we ignore the ear drum blasting sonic boom tier sound levels its safe to say it was the best concert i have went to in my entire life. Sucks i missed King Gizzard this year though.

For those who have seen them, is it really worth it going to see Dream Theater in concert? I really don't want to be cringing through the entirety of the show. I love most of their albums but some of the live clips on Youtube leave me thinking that James's best days may really be behind him.

Saw Machine Head on Friday. Last time I'd seen them prior to that was over 15 years ago, so I was properly impressed that only were they as loud as I remember, but that they also did a 2.5 hour set.

Off the top of my head:
The Offspring. (First real band I ever saw live.) Dead Kennedy's opened for them, without Biafra. They weren't good. Lit were fun.
Incubus. Five times in my high school years.
Red Hot Chili Peppers. Six times.
Audioslave. Twice. (Grateful for that considering that Chris Cornell is no longer alive.)
Kroq concert at Inland Empire: Weezer, Social Distortion, Incubus.....can't remember the rest.
Coachella: Sonic Youth, Jack Johnson, The White Stripes, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Lollapalooza: Jane's Addiction, Jurassic Five, Audioslave, A Perfect Circle, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The Blue's Brothers at Universal Studios. (Do they count?)
Local: Pretty Girls Make Graves, Bratmobile, DeFacto. (I only went because members of At The Drive In were in that band.)

Coheed and Cambria is one of the best live performances i've ever seen.
My most recent concert was Yung Lean to a crowd of about 100. MC Chris garnered a larger crowd.
I've probably seen Foo Fighters the most times, none of them were my plan or idea.
Tenacious D was pretty cool to see. Not so much about the music as they are the show.
Death Grips was an absolute mess.

Recently, I went to an Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull concert a few months ago because my godmother gave us the tickets since she was unable to go. We got surprisingly close seats (was only a few feet from Enrique and Pitbull when they walked over to our side of the stage) but there were so many menopausal women that it felt like a Fifty Shades fan convention.

Overall I go to mostly Top 40 concerts because I have younger siblings, and since I live in Chicagoland I’ve been to a few of those giant “Jingle Ball” type concerts with multiple artists, and I think I’m going to the Summer Bash so that’ll be something.

I was going to go to a Juan Gabriel concert about a year or two back but he died a few days before it happened :(
And then a few months back I went to a Gloria Trevi & Alejandra Guzman concert.
They're all good artists, but I wish I had the money to not rely on invitations for concert tickets.

Good thing I rejected the invitation to that one. It was in Rosemont, right? It's chock full of concerts that make middle aged hispanic women cream their pants.

Last night I saw My Bloody Valentine. It was far and away the loudest concert I've ever seen, and I loved every minute of it.

That exact concert. I’ve been there numerous times since I live really close but it was funny to see the screaming girls aged up by two decades.

I think there was some Hispanic boy band too. Enough material for the whole family.

Yeah. It seems to me like it's 90% hispanic artists who perform there. I think that boy band would've been the only concert with young screaming girls in the audience. Probably the ones who sang Reggaeton Lento. That song was on the radio all the time back then. Since you're in Chicagoland too, have you been to Lolapalooza? I'm too poorfag to go but I wanted to know if it's worth the money.

Nah, but my sisters tried begging my parents to take them. The closest we’ve been is just driving around the city when it was going on and being able to access the specialized GeoFilters LOL.
