What do you do if you're new to a thread and can't find info by searching? -

Example, if you're new to a thread (especially one with 1000s of pages) - what do you do if you're searching for info that others are mentioning, but it's not well-documented in the OP, and keyword searches don't turn up anything.

(Example - In the Russell Greer thread, the incident where he was harassing Erika online is well-known, but the screencaps aren't in the OP and don't show up when you search for keywords like "Erica" - to find those, I had to spend a lot of time manually digging through the thread in order to repost them, so they'd be easier to find when searching, and others were saying it was the first time they'd actually seen the screencaps as well, since they were horribly documented).

How much of the thread do you read to avoid asking questions - the entire thing? If it has videos, how much of them do you watch? Discuss.

I will add that the search here works perfectly fine. I use it all the time, and always find exactly what I am looking for.

A good IQ test is to see how well a person can use the search function. A surprisingly large number of people just are too slow-witted to understand how it works. They choose bad keywords, they don't know how to filter results, they look in the wrong threads, they set the search for titles only, they misspell things, and they generally bollix things up in true 'tard fashion,. Then they whine that the search doesn't work and wind up clogging up the thread with useless repetitive shit anyway.

Not saying this is you, but it is a lot of people.

Easy, just start a new thread, even if it's for something really unimportant and gay, like finding screencaps about some faggoty drama. You get your information faster and you piss off the mods. Double win. And as an added bonus, your superfluous thread full of useless "learn to search faggot" responses will turn up in search engines when people actually do search the right way.

No, it is him. You search "Erika" in that thread and can find what he is talking about fairly easy. O.P however shits up that thread by asking questions that have been answered multiple times, and ironically, makes it harder to find info.
Nah, here's an example - it wasn't in the OP and searches for keywords like "Erika" didn't bring it up, so I had to meticulously go through page by page in order to find it (and other members were saying it's the first time they'd actually seen it as well):

And as far as I know, it's still not in the OP even though I PM'd the thread starter to add it.
