What do you love the most about DSP? - Show some Christmas Spirit c’mon

  • Intermittent Denial of Service attack is causing downtime. Looks like a kiddie 5 min rental. Looking into some solutions.

For Christmas everyone gets together and is thankful for all the love they get and spread.

Phil gets usually none (by this forum) so for this special event only we should thank him for the things he has done for us and count the things we LOVE about or favorite Goutboy.

So next time when someone calls us the Detractor Forum we can show them this thread, sounds good? *SNORT*

Well I start.

DSP has shown me how manipulative people can be while still calling themselves victims all the time. Thanks <3

I love DSP‘s ability to fuck up every advantage he ever had in his miserable life while still feeling smug and superior above everyone else.

Thank you DSP for all the laughs we „shared“ with you <3

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's amazing to think a person would rather rely on something that is incredibly unstable financially, beg every single day than get a job with insurance and a steady paycheck.

The best he's going to get are rather backhanded compliments, but nonetheless...

I thank him for making me really appreciate the content creators on Twitch/Youtube that I watch. People that actually put in effort, are kind/respectful to their fans, and don't beg or scheme. I already love just how amazing many are (both as content creators, and as people), but the existence of someone as horrendous as Phil makes me realise just how great they are.

His examples of how not to respond to criticism and unexpected circumstances, this is how you don't live.

A little story about personal growth to compare:
One time at work a co-worker had pointed that I had forgotten my safety glasses, on reflex I threw out a reason that I was distracted because of some arbitrary distraction earlier, they told me back that they found it annoying how I felt the need to have an excuse all the time. I didn't like the co-worker, and I still don't have fond memories of this co-worker to this day, but soon after I realized they were correct and I worked harder to acknowledge my mistakes where they happened, and not throw out some reasoning for things if they weren't warranted.
This is actually a core part of who I am now, I pride myself on getting straight to the point, acknowledging my mistakes, addressing them honestly, and growing from it.

DSP still to this day can not acknowledge his own mistakes, and I don't think I was ever as bad or could have been as bad as he was but it's also satisfying to look at him to compare to what could have been.
So thank you DSP, thank you for serving as a comparison and letting me see how much I've grown as a person.

Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus, and Phil is a lot like him.

Jesus claimed he was the son of God, his mom was a virgin, he walked on water, he fed a whole crowd with 2 fish and a loaf of bread and had baskets of food left over, he totally died and came back to life, etc. There was no "proof" to these claims yet his followers believed him 100% because he said he was unable to lie. Just as Phil's claims have no "proof" and seem outlandish. Yet his followers believe him because Phil said, "I'm gonna be honest..."

Jesus did many things that the religious leaders saw as unorthodox and wrong. They told him to change and to stop and he didn't because Jesus did nothing wrong and his detractors were too blind to see that he was really the best. Sound familiar?

Jesus suffered and died for his beliefs, just as Phil will metaphorically allows himself to be crucified to gain support.

So when you really think about it, Christmas should be a celebration of Phil.

Just a theory

If you're being serious, then I'd have to say his ability to keep hanging onto his dwindling career as a YouTuber/Streamer. I mean... the FapGate incident would've killed a lesser person's career, hell I used to say that PewDiePie would've been cratered by it (in light of recent PDP things though...?) but Phil? Phil somehow survived it and kept going. No matter what I think of his character, I can at least say I respect his tenacity.

To be honest, the only thing I really like about DSP is this video:

It makes me laugh every single time. The moment after when he keeps going on sucks, but the initial voice call part is what gets me. It's hilarious.
