I don't exactly mean "What he thinks life should give him" but I mean "What does he honestly expect day by day?"

Because from what I can gather, his life is utterly boring. He lives all day in a cramped and messy house with the smell of cat shit and :snorlax: ingrained into the carpets, and burned ash likely to remain uncleaned. There does not seem to be many windows for light to enter through or for fresh air to pass. Perhaps I'm making this sound like I'm rehashing basic information but seriously...

Do Barb and Chris just expect all walls of 14BLC to fall in and their home to be transformed into some sort of luxurious mansion?

There is no way Chris can be in content and accept that he can't do better than play Pokemon X all day. Why doesn't he go walk the dogs and carry his 3DS and purchase a small bottle of Kahlua? That sounds like fun.

UGH! I WANT SOMETHING TO CHANGE :sighduck:

Above all else, Chris expects people to cater to his autism.

He can't get a girl because of his damned shyness. He can't get a job because of his reputation online. He can't go to trading card games because the damn manajerks discriminate against autistic people.

The single worst thing Borb did for him was convince him that the world owes mentally disabled people an infinite amount of patience.

So the only reason he has a shit life isn't because of any personal failings on his part. It's because we as a society didn't cater enough to his autism. It's always someone else's fault. Just look at how he blamed Keurig for the house fire, and the firemen who saved his life for stealing Barb's possessions.

I think he fully expects life to give him shit. Imagine '07 Chris having a house fire to 2014 Chris. He seems almost dulled to everything. He had a few expected reactions but he didn't completely flip his shit which probably means he knows and acknowledges that he he's going to be given shit, inadvertently or not, by a God he only blames for stuff.

His life is almost nihilistic at this point.

You know, I'm not sure that Chris really understands that distinction. He's been loitering in public places for years waiting for the inevitable 18-whatever-age blonde, bombshell lawyer sex guru girlfriend to come and whisk him away from 14BC so that he could be a blob and play vidya all day, and he would continue to do so if Barb would loosen the leash.

It's like I said in a post quite some time back: Chris goes into the Love Quest with the same mentality that some people play the lotto--"It's gonna happen any day now."

Chris's grand plan for life when he wasn't under Barbs' thumb consisted of sitting on his ass with a sign and that's it. I would probably make a fishing analogy here if he hadn't at one point literally gone fishing for a girlfriend

the point is, that even in the heyday of his freedom and optimism, the best plan Chris could come up with was basically sitting on his ass waiting for something to happen.

A boyfriend-free girl, Sonicu selling millions, and everyone to be his personal slave. Also all males dead if he's in a mad mood.

He wants everything, he wants it now, and without making any kind of effort.

He wants a gorgeous girl to have sex with him while she feeding him his favourite food and telling him how amazingly tallented he is.

Chris in his Twenties: A ton of friends, a boyfriend-free girl, riddance of those 'got-dang trolls, and worldwide fame/recognition for his art.

I don't really think Chris has the brain power to think outside of his set routine. He goes through his life, day after day, doing the same things, miserable that no one is coming to change it, while being paranoid of everybody. Thus, someone would need to come and break it for him in a Chris-positive way, jumping through the vast, various, and invisible hoops that Chris has set up in order to earn his trust. He may be disappointed that a pretty gymnast hasn't shown to throw herself through those hoops, but even if she did show up, her reward would be to usher Chris into yet another, slightly different (she'd have sex with him) routine.

EDIT:

From an outside perspective, Chris's main goal in life, a goal which he seems rather lazy and somewhat incompetent in accomplishing, is to satisfy his appetites and quell his worries. Chris doesn't set out to find happiness or a sense of achievement (as some [me] would define it). In place of actually working on things, he plays video games and buys a bunch of stuff. Instead of solving actual problems, he shouts, murmurs, threatens, punches clown dolls, poos himself, and laments that others are not assisting him in dealing with his negative emotions, which he clearly has trouble dealing with on his own.

The way I see it, what may have happened is that Chris has found it increasingly harder to satisfy his immediate wants after graduating high school since others were no longer willing to provide for him. He had long figured that that open-armed compassion was coming someday, but the last couple of years have probably made it pretty clear to him that society doesn't care too much about him, nor for him. Regardless, wandering around town in a state of emotional neediness and fishing for pity is all Chris knows how to do, so he continues doing it for lack of a better idea.

He probably knows that nothing he does will work, but his mind is probably a blank about alternatives to his routine.

I think he's just banking on the hope that Princess Charming swoops in and marries him, so he can get pampered for the rest of his life. But now he's slowly beginning to realize that's never going to happen, and that's making him depressed.

Well, because of the electoral college.

But the only system of checks and balances in Chris's life are bounced checks and broken scales.

Instead of Chris realising that while his autism makes things harder for him, most people won't know or appreciate this. As such, he's been raised like a 4 year old, expecting everyone to cater to his whims and any misconduct on his part can be explained away by his autism. However, he clings to the High-Functioning aspect which he seems to think gives him the best of both worlds, absolving him of responsibility while giving him the rights of an adult.

However, I don't think he really expects much. He wants a :snorlax: substitute to care for him and shower him with affection but he doesn't have an ambition. This was painfully obvious in the Playing House video where he expected Jackie to work while he "took care of the children". Even in this fantasy, he lazed around playing vidya and watching TV all day.

I don't think his desire stretches further than having a friend. He could accomplish this by getting out from :snorlax: 's thumb. But he doesnt have the balls to do this. So instead of the raging :stupid: of yesteryear, we now have the (:_( of nowadays. At least old Chris was still full of hopes and dreams of Sonichu as a franchise however unrealistic they were.

One thing that I'm sure Chris has failed to grasp is that in the time after high school, he looked like a fresh faced boy with mental retardation. That engenders tolerance and pity. Now he looks like a homeless* middle aged man with mental retardation. That engenders, "Stay the hell away from me, hobo. No, I said 'hobo' not 'homo'. Look, why would I even... just get away from me before I call the cops."

And of course he still sees himself as a young teen that Jerry Seinfeld would love.

*Granted, he is homeless.

One of the things that I've often wondered is what Chris would do if all his stupidly unrealistic life expectations come true? And the thing is, the only answer I can come up with is, well, he'd do exactly what he's doing right now! He'd sit on his ass playing with Lego and vidya and watching cartoons.. that's it, nothing more.
See all the ridiculous demands and expectations were really just his desire to keep doing what he's always done... fuck all, and he knows for that to happen he needs somebody else to maintain his eternal childhood for him.
It's also weird to think that despite him setting the bar so low, he still falls short of his goal. Probably because he's even not prepared to put the miniscule amount of effort into maintaining such a basic existence. That's somebody else's job

See Chris is a paradox, despite all the interest, people fascinated by him and all the internet fallout, he's an incredibly boring person, and does absolutely nothing of interest.... until an outside influence interferes with him, then you get a reaction, and he becomes funny.
