What happens now to the areas of the Wiki that are Jace Centered? -

I think it should be asked now. With the very real possibility that this was a performance art project, what happens to the areas of the wiki devoted to Jace and the events surrounding him?

Will these areas need to be removed, severely edited, or something different entirely?

The following pages will have to be changed and significantly modified:

It should also be noted that many of these are stubs and lack significant amounts of content.

I am still running a list and will add more to the thread, as I get more links. So far I have gone through 1/3 of the wiki's articles.

I will add more to the list later.

That's actually a very, very good question. I'm kind of glad that this happened before I got around to working my way further back through the timeline.

I would say leave them, put something at the top of each page that says akin to "Work of fiction - since it has been uncovered that Jace's identity is a false flag, this article is no longer presented as fact, but is preserved for citation and reference to the fictional story of Jace Connors", but I don't know if that directly conflicts with the wiki's spirit.

I suggest adding them all to a subcategory for faked lolcow drama. It's still related to actual lolcow drama (like Brianna Wu melting down over this nonsense), so it still has relevance to the other material.

i think the best solution would be to split each article into two categories of pre and post MDE revelation. you can keep the majority of the article that way, you just need to reword it a bit.

Every Jace related page gets a link to a central page explaining the ruse. Make a template then add the {{jaceruse}} template to each page.

This is my suggestion.
All relevant pages should already have {{ps-dn}} or a child like {{ps-jace}}. I'll modify the dn template to include an ombox explaining shit.

The last thing I'm going to force @THE WRITER to do is make a gigantic Q&A page that we can bounce a lot of traffic too. I'll also make a {{writer commentary|}} template or something he can use directly in specific articles, kind of how like Developer Commentary plays in games when you enter rooms and people explain what went on.

Can you make a separate PKD91 wiki that can't be edited or maybe only edited by Jan to fill in the gaps and make it even funnier?

Probably a new group like ps-wdg. I've been fucking around forever though, need to update a lot of shit.

Why would you change anything? There's no need to explicitly state "it's fake guys, its fake" by a long shot - if people dig, they'll discover that on their own anyway. If you gave it away right in the Wiki article, which is one of the first thing a newcomer would read, you'd be spoiling the entertainment of discovering the story for everyone who reads the wiki and decreasing the quality of the articles in the process. Nobody wants to read about a fictional character. Let them find it on their own time.

Trust me on this. It isn't difficult to find the truth now. I just want people to be able to experience it for a while as it's own story before they see the man behind the curtain. No need to scare them off right away. Just leave the articles as they are.

No mention of Wis Dum Gun or anything. At least for now. If I keep doing more projects as different characters, and that evolves to necessitate a wiki, fine. But for now, putting "spoilers" right in the wiki would be totally unnecessary and counterproductive to the entire PKD91 saga.

The explanation I gave in the livestream is the only public one I intend to give, ever. I've already taken down the livestream YouTube recorded versions (and the mirrors of it) because everyone who "needed" to see it, the intended audience (I.E. the "diehard" fans) have already seen it. The casual fans, those who only check in every few weeks, can carry on thinking it's real for a little longer - why not let them? Why wake them from that beautiful dream?

Of course it'll happen in due time anyway - but the revelation that it's fake - the "man behind the curtain" is something that must only happen at the correct time in the viewer's involvement in the saga. If you tell them right away it's fake, the revelation has no effect except to confuse the viewer and reduce the quality of the series. Ideally, you want people to find it's fake after they've spent a few hours digging, watching streams, reading wiki articles... that sort of thing. That way - they can fully appreciate it, understand what they just saw, and the "revelation" will have it's intended narrative effect. If you blow it too early, it's wasted, and it has no punch, no effect. And it would be cruel of me - unethical, really - to deprive people of the full experience for the sake of clarity, especially when that clarity is not even remotely necessary to the intended experience.

I am very sorry, @THE WRITER . I started this thread when the whole thing came unraveled and we still had no idea what to think or what to do. If you want to keep up the ruse. Then there is nothing stopping you.

I saw your other posts on the topic. You are probably right. We should all act as if the DN is real and not tell anyone differently. I am now sorry I brought it up.

Agree. The smart kids will figure out that Santa Jace isn't real but in the meantime let them have their fun.

If that's how we're going to play it, we should remove all mentions of the hoax from the wiki. That's not a big deal because there's not that many, but you'll then have to use your Bureaucrat powers to purge the article histories as well.

(Sorry for the double post)

OK, so @fokkertism has purged pretty much all of the relevant articles, I did the timeline and the featured news template. The only problematic one that remains is Operation Wu-Pocalypse. I've hidden the section on the hoax from view for the time being, it's still visible when you look at the source. I didn't want to delete it right away because the story of Operation Wu-Pocalypse, the end of the hoax, and the media reaction are all linked together. Removing it altogether would leave a gaping hole in the narrative. We need to decide how to handle this first. What's the plan here, @THE WRITER ?

EDIT: Forgot about this one: http://lolcow.wiki/wiki/The_Final_Livestream
I blanked it, but I don't have the rights to delete it completely.
