What has Chris-chan Ruined For You? -

[Stratochu]

Through some form or another, Chris-chan has almost certainly ruined at least one thing for all of us.

For me:

Ford Escorts. Where I currently live, I see MANY trashed 1990s Escorts, and think "Son-Chu!" EVERY TIME I see one. Even the European RS Cosworth Escort at the exotic car mechanic downtown makes me think of Chris and his car.

Most fast food

Video games

Long Island Iced Tea

Sailor Moon

Family Guy

Sonic Drive-In

The names "Julie", "Ivy", "Chloe" and "Barbara".

Same. My opinion of Sonic was already low enough when I found him, and I still enjoyed it when I was 14. Although like Strato said, I can't help but giggle when I see those Ford Escorts.

Only Fanta has been truly ruined by Chris. I always preferred the Mexican brand Jarritos' tangerine, but I wouldn't say no to a Fanta until that video. Most of the items on Stratochu's list do all make me snort or roll my eyes, due to their connection with Chris. Sonic was already ruined by many of the worse fantards. Chris is actually one of the more tame fans out there.

I also can't even see the Fanta button on the soda machine at the clubhouse here without thinking about Chris-chan drinking his navy.

Once the Coke man comes and refills the machine, I will try Fanta again, straight Fanta with nothing in it.

Dude, I love Jarritos.

My favorites are the orange (of course) and the fruit punch, and I have a soft spot for guava in general, but I've yet to see it for sale in any stores around here. I always wanted to try the tamarind flavor, but fruit punch always wins me over.

Also, this has to be the tenth time I bring up Mexican soda on these forums, lol.

This. It's not really fun associating him with things I like, (my car is a model called the Sonic. I love my car. =( And get Chris out of my Yugioh and MLP fandoms!) but it doesn't ruin them.

That said, I love orange soda, and I'm really, really glad my brand of choice has always been Sunkist. I can't quite forget Fanta's association with Chris. At least he didn't defile my favorite brand.

It's immature of me, but I often have a hard time hearing the name "Julie" without at least thinking "JULAY" to myself. Oh, and as everyone else has said, definitely the Fanta. Didn't really like the stuff before anyway, but I can't stand it now. I also can't hear "true" without wanting to pair it up with "honest", and vice versa. I haven't been following Chris for super long, but a lot of his CWC-isms have infiltrated my everyday speech it seems.

Also, McDonald's food. We had to test the blended contents of a Happy Meal in biology lab last week and all I could think of was that damned video of Chris in the McDonald's parking lot with his "Jackie" blow-up doll. >.<;

I posted this like, 2 seconds before the old board was borked. One of my friends on Flickr has an unusual fascination with his initials, much like Chris. Now, due to Chris, anybody who uses their initials as their username for anything, their user icon, or even has a display in their house with their initials, makes me wonder if there is "something wrong" with them.
