Why are these people overcomplicating weight loss so damn much? I almost think that WW doesn't want their customers to succeed and rely on delusional fat people like Amber to make a profit because they're these plans enable them to feel like they're doing something while not really being effective so they'll keep coming back.
The original Weight Watchers, back in the early 1970s when they were actually Weight Watchers, was very efficient in delivering a weightloss plan. It was strict though. There were weekly menus and while the customer filled them out, the meals had to fit within strict limits, eg 6 fish serves, 4 chicken, 2 red meat, 2 liver, 5 cottage cheese etc etc. I'm making up the numbers obviously as these fill them out plans are long gone. They were calorie counted plans back in a time when the internet wasn't around to make calorie counting the simple task it is today. Mums and aunties and grandmas sat around with their little calorie counting books, pens and paper and added up their calories every day. The had weekly meetings with very public weigh-ins for education and accountability. Members took their weekly meal plan and were counselled into where they went wrong if they gained weight that week. They even used shame to motivate weightloss rather than gain. In many ways the diet principles haven't really changed a lot since then...they still demonise fats in any form, while carbs are still heavily featured...it's the delivery method that's really changed and taken away almost any client accountability. They've also decided they need to cash in on the processed food market, as they lose that to other companies if they don't. I suspect their processed foods are actually their main profit line these days, but I'm not interested enough to actually research it. The less understandable they make their system to the client, the more tied to the company that client becomes. WW knows it's calorific deficit that drives weightloss, they also know that if they make their plans too understandable and too successful, that they'll lose their customer base, so they keep it just out of reach. It really doesn't take an in depth knowledge of nutrition or calorie density to work out the program, but WW no longer give any education to their customers to actually learn how to manage their weight themselves. It's a system set up specifically for all the ALR's in this world. Those too dumb, or lazy, or even motivated to put in any effort, and unwilling to be held to any level of accountability by actually showing up anywhere for accountability to be made to anyone else. ALR can do it all, or do nothing at all...all online, with no-one checking but herself. She can lie to everyone, fake weighing etc. The only one she's really hurting is herself anyway. Why are these people overcomplicating weight loss so damn much? Counting calories is simple, effective and does away with all these unnecessary bullshit. Which by the way I don't ever remember seeing Amber do. She has a MFP, just buy a fucking food scale and a few cups and measuring spoons.
After hearing Amber describing this new round of WW I feel like I understand it even less than I already do (which is minimal admittedly). So they introduced the points system, presumably to simplify calorie counting because small numbers are easier to keep track of big numbers. But then they introduced "zero point" foods (I personally think this is dumb btw), which you can eat and not count to your points but if you eat more than a portion then they have points...(?) Then they introduced three different plans in which different foods are zero points?
Holy shit my head hurts.

This is exactly what WW is doing. They make money off simple-minded folk that don't understand nutrition, give confusing information about food to make the clients more confused so that they don't trust themselves anymore and they buy only Weight Watchers brand food, because that is what they have been told to do and it's easier to them than reading calorie amounts and portion sizes.
Amber will never lose weight even with WW, because she looks at the maximum point amounts and thinks she has to eat at least that much, not less than, plus she won't follow a plan and quits to get restaurant food anyway.

Is that a stepladder reflected in the mirror? These gorls are too heavy, incoming Becky ER visit imminent.
The First Principle of Amber is... Amber is super-mega-ultra fat
Second Principle of Amber... she is not interested in changing.
Amber has trotted out yet another attempt at WW because her audience is BORED & she fears they'll drift off & her income will start dropping.
As I suspect most disordered eaters do, she ritualizes a lot of things around food & she's doing the same thing with her... diet. Her snacks are ridiculously well organized but doing so, she got the dopamine rush of fondling her snack packs,
She gets to play stupid games with stupid points... in a system that is a BUSINESS; profit based business. It's not in WW best interests to help clients succeed in weight loss & transition to normal eating patterns. And I don't know their program but do they give any nutritional information; do clients know what nutrients may or may not in 0 point foods?
If she could/wanted to do that, she wouldn't be 600 pounds. She mentions "rules" about meals being a problem for her; then gives insane examples. If you want to have 2 fried eggs, a few strips of bacon & a fruit for supper & after a breakfast of a hearty chicken stew, so what? What matter is balanced healthy eating over the day & if push comes to shove - the week.
So fewer restrictions are better for her yet she tells us she's happily going with the restriction of an 8/16 eating pattern. Maybe there's a valid reason for but has that been conveyed to her?
Just what is so bloody difficult about learning what normal portions are, (use divided dishes), how basic nutrients work & what is a reasonable rate of weight loss? She said she hopes she hopes to lose " a bit more than 2 lbs. a week. Her TDEE is just a bit shy of 3,800 calories a day. Eating 2000 per day should result in a loss of 3.6 lbs. a week. That's not great but it's a start & I'd fall over from shock is she even kept to that very modest goal for 2 weeks..
Not sure what's going on in her shrinking world but she's sick, sad & sorry. She musters no real enthusiasm for her diet - her eyes are dead. She doesn't have bags under her eyes; she's sporting a full set of matched Louis Vuitton luggage. Her ring light was in the room behind her rather than being used to film, no shower, shitty clothes, no attempt to look presentable.
I tend to agree these are pre-filmed & she's not doing anything other than lethargically "thinking" abut how to maintain her income.
And why does she quit the whole thing just cause she binged once? She needs to learn to get back on the luckily not real horse. I won't even watch this shit, she's just stacking up her little weight loss bowling pins to make people get happy for her and she's already fingering the bowling ball of binge to knock it all down again. And are those not shadows under her eyes in the pics? Is that really her actual skin color? She's gonna die before weight watchers does it's looking like if that is the case. We are heading for another cancer arc and her and the doctors will be the last to know. Big bad meany kiwi farms will have the scoop on it. first. The earrings will end up being sold to pay for a pity funeral.Mmm, sorry, should have been more specific, that WW will be off her channel by the weekend. I've no doubt we'll get some sorry ass, whining, "Well, um....I binged." just like the last JC arc, trying to garner sympathy and asspats for t
