Mass Effect 3 came in the mail, so does that count?

Not really. With import gaming, you purchase a game from and meant for another region of the world. Each region has exclusives, so import gamers try and get those exclusives. Sometimes major titles have to be translated months after their original release or they were translated but censored. With import gaming, you can get those games early/uncensored. Do note that most modern systems are region-locked, so most import gaming is done with older systems.

Strider Hiryu: Mega Drive
Magical Hat's Big Turbo Adventure: Mega Drive.
Super Fantasy Zone (the one with the box the same size as the cartridge): Mega Drive.

I have a fair amount of US games for my American SNES but I don't know if they count.

Yeah, they should count. No one ever said that imports had to be Japanese. Just from a different region from where you live.

Yeah, they should count. No one ever said that imports had to be Japanese. Just from a different region from where you live.

In that case:

Mario Kart
Pilot Wings
Contra 3
Samurai Showdown
Donkey Kong Country 3
Secret Of Mana
Dino City. This sadly didn't get a European release and it's one of the best SNES platformers. It was released as Dinosaurs in Japan and scored quite low in the reviews because it was too easy. For the US release they took away the unlimited credits and reduced the energy bar to 3 hearts from 5. They should have reviewed the US version.

All the above are my US NTSC SNES games.

Street Fighter 2 Turbo
Zero 4 Champ
Some game I've no idea about. The only English on the fron is: SHVC-GD. There's a wizard, a faerie, and 2 guys with swords on the front sticker but there's no manufacturer's logo on it so I've know idea who made it.

Next games I'm going to add to my SNES collection will be the 2 Parodius games and Pop and Twin bee and Rainbow Bell Adventures.

Shadow Fox

Internet Professional
kiwifarms.net
Zoids VS III and Zoids Full Metal Crash for GameCube, and Zoids Legacy for GBA, though I actually found that one at a used game store in town.

well I'm in the uk here.

SNES
US Chrono trigger- boxed mint.

Saturn
Japanese console.
Radiant Silvergun.
Metal Slug.
Shining Force 3 parts 2 and 3, plus the premium disc.
Streetfighter zero 3.
X-Men vs Streetfighter.
Vampire savior.
Cyberbots.
Grandia.

I have a few more obscure jap saturn ones I got when going through a phase, but nothing totally noteworthy.

I know this thread is over a year old but I actually "imported" something for the first time.

I managed to gain access to the UK Playstation Network and I got Deus Ex The Conspiracy on the European PSN.

This was a much harder process than I thought mostly because you also either need a European credit card or you need to buy a european points card. Since currency on the store is region locked. The reason I got Deus Ex the Conspiracy was because it's only available on the European PSN for some stupid reason and not the North American one. Since the PS3 is region free it works on an NA machine.

However there are drawbacks to getting differently regioned games on the PS3. Disk based PS1 games from other regions outright refuse to run, presumably something to do with the copy protection already put into the system. And while digital PS1 games technically should load, if you don't have a 50 hertz television PAL PS1 games will not run. Unless you manually add resolutions to the game by FTPing your PS3. Jap PS1 games apparently run fine regardless.

This restriction only applies to PS1 games though. PS2 and PS3 games from other regions run fine either way.

Currently the only one I own is Pokemon Pinball for the Gameboy Advance. I bought it incase I managed to find the e-reader cards for it one day. I'd like to start collecting more import games for the GBA since the system is regionless. Legend of Starfy will probably be my next pick.

If accessories count, I have a Japanese e-reader plus and the eight promtional cards that came with it.

Would love to get into Importing Saturn games, but I'm broke as fuck right now, so nope.

I don't have a huge collection, but I have Initial D Street Stage and Irregular Hunter X for the PSP, Initial D Extreme Stage for the PS3, I got a Japanese Wii and Brawl and me and my high school friends played it in the Computer Lab on the Projector before it came out (that was fun) and as long as I've listed a console, I have a Famicom 20th Anniversary GBA Micro.

Puranjin

Danseur Macabre

Deltora Quest: Nanatsu no Houseki for the DS. Mostly just to sate my need to collect DQ merchandise.

It suddenly seems really pathetic in comparison to the others here, but... I've got imported copies of Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy VI for the Super Famicom.

Y'all having some impressive collections there. I have some US copies of certain games I got through a friend cheap, but the only one exclusive to anywhere I have is WarioWare: Twisted for GBA because that game never came out in Europe.

The only import I own is a green Japanese Game Boy camera that my dad somehow found in the e-cycle bin at one of his old jobs. If I ever find it again I'm going to try to trigger all of the "Run" screens to see what they look like.
