Random question, but I always wondered this since I was a kid.

I think he's a cross between a turtle and a bull or ox (his face is like that of a bull or ox), and a dragon I guess (e.x. since he breathes fire).

Yeah, I suppose. I do like red quite a bit, but blonde definitely has more art.

The lack of Koopa Peach (the scrapped Odyssey one) displeases me greatly, though.

Bowser is one of the coolest villains in a video game. It's not just his looks either... it seems that the bad guys in Mario games have more of a personality than the heroes (with the exception of Luigi). Just look at Wario... He's a greedy smartass that tries to outdo Mario in everything.

I believe Yatzee from Zero Punctuation says it best: "When done well, Bowser can be an interesting character study. There's something intriguing about someone who self identifies as the bad guy. Society calls him evil, but not only does he wear their label, he reclaims it... and that is why they will never get him down."
