Inspired by the thread in the general forums. Why I don't think the system is perfect, I think it is interesting to speculate on where our pet lolcow falls in the Briggs-Meyer spectrum. I don't know that much about it, and will let more capable minds to discuss what his type could be.

I'd actually say that Chris has no personality, as he is not really a person, but an empty, easily impressionable vessel totally controlled by base desires.

You know how you probably should probably not have anyone below a certain age take one of those tests? Because your results won't be truly accurate because that person isn't emotionally, physically, or intellectually developed enough to truly assess themselves. Not to mention that they haven't had enough life experiences?

Yeah, thats how I feel about Chris' Personality type.

Aww, you're all no fun. I kind of want to play along, especially since we're debating introvert vs extravert in another thread, which is just one aspect of the MBTI results.

I'm putting my bets on:

I : He'd rather have people approach him than go out of his way to be social. He plays too much vidya to be a traditional extravert as well.

S: I truly can't see him as being intuitive. I honestly don't know the full implications of Sensing though.

F: Due to his lack of trying to apply logic to any manner of situation.

J: He has pretty strict convictions and is pretty difficult to truly persuade in any direction.

This means he's...only one letter different from me.
Sorry ISFJs! He's one of yours. Unless you'd like to challenge my opinion on the matter, of course. ;)

From the human metrics website

"ISFJs are characterized above all by their desire to serve others,"

I think that rules out Chris immediately for this type.

Honestly, I don't think Chris is a clear cut introvert. He does at least seem to enjoy being around people. Even if he wants them to approach him. Introversion is marked by a sense of being drained by social interactions. Chris doesn't seem to be too bothered by them. Especially considering the shit storm he put up to try and get back into the game place. Also that wanting people to approach him thin seems very anti introvert. Introverts usually would rather dictate how their social interactions play out.

I could be basing this on my self though and I'm neither a clear cut introvert or extrovert.

No! I'm an ISFJ! Well, an IS, I could go either way on the F and J.

But I agree with Golly's analysis. Unfortunately, unless Chris takes the MBTI and discloses his results we won't know.

There's also a possibility that Chris's personality is so warped that the MBTI wouldn't do him justice.

Chris might not want to serve others in the strictest sense of the word, but he does want to make others think he makes the right decisions and is a kind person. He will say anything (short of "I'm guuuuueeeh") if he thinks it'll please the other person, and in turn, get him what he wants. That said, I wonder if there is a type that is more inherently self serving than others. He could be trying to masquerade as an ISFJ, but be something completely different.

Introverts aren't misanthropes, by the way. Being around people can be lots of fun for all types of people, introverts included, but can also be a drain. To my understanding, the difference is that introverts have to be alone to "charge up" for social interaction, while extraverts have to be with people to "charge up" for alone time. I'd say Chris has had more than ample time to mentally charge for social times, which is why he's so anxious to make new friends and be with others right now.

If it was that colour thing where one is either orange, blue, green or gold; Chris is brown.
