The Nintendo DS and 3DS are really great from my experience. Durable, compact, last forever, and have great games IMO. Would definitely recommend buying if there's a 3DS game that you want but can't emulate.
Reusable water bottles. I always have to have a bottle of water with me and these have saved me lots of money and reduced how much plastic I throw away.
If you're gonna be stuck with a slow beater for a few years, may as well get something you can have fun with. Though manuals aren't for everyone admittedly.
Apologies for the doody-quality photo, this is the one and only print I've ever bought off of DeviantArt. It's called "Hordak Snatches Baby Jesus". It's not even up on DA any more so I'm so glad that I bought it and can preserve this masterpiece forevermore.
My Thinkpad X220. Of course running linux on it helps to keep it chooglin' despite being so old. But man, I've never had a computer that constantly makes me say, "damn, I love this thing" like my Thinkpad.
I plan on eventually getting a few more for spare parts or to try some different models.
