I saw a video of a pig getting its head chopped off with a chainsaw. It was in a garage, plastic was laid down everywhere. This pig was just standing there chilling, and a guy in a mask walked up to it and chainsawed its head off. The body went into spasms and then I stopped watching. Daily Life of Mai-Chan. I’d seen worse things, like Funky Town or Kitten Crush, but Mai-Chan was the first thing that really got to me. I read it 4 am before school, and I was mentally checked out the rest of the day. It was a sudden realization, fueled by a gore binge and sleep deprivation, that this world was really fucked up. Someone had to dedicate serious time to write, draw, and publish that. They might’ve had a team. They also had to have had a magazine help publish it (Mai-Chan was fairly old, even then, I don’t think it was a doujin), a porno mag that was specifically meant for gore, with an audience of at least 10,000 and several other stories for it. People WANTED it, and people made money off it. It helped feed, clothe, and shelter several people. It fucked me up realizing that. I never flinched or cringed at any gore video before that, but after it, I can’t stand them any more.
