Why do you think Chris gave the fictional, evil version of Mary Lee Walsh a back story that was a mirror of his own (save for a couple of fantastic additions that didn't actually happen, like STRONG STRAIGHT homophobes beating up the bullies that called him gay, making out with prom date Tiffany Gowen, and Gowen's secret desire to get married to him).

Was it to show that he should be congratulated for not becoming evil, despite having such a challenging past? Or was it because Bob and Barb gave him some half assed pop explanation as to why she was so mean to him, e.g., "She was probably picked on as a child, and she's taking her anger out on you," (I've seen Chris throw this idea at trolls sometimes).

Yes, I think at this point he was trying to distance himself from the fact that he'd made Mary Lee Walsh into a cartoon villian - probably because it was pointed out to him that it made him a troll or something. Her 'backstory' is pretty obviously a daydream Chris-Ch­an has had since his real graduation ended with him waddling (at top Sonichu speed) away from the stage in tears. He probably figured that swapping the characters genders would suffice to disguise the fact that he's once again writting about himself.

For some reason I got confused with all the name changes/anagrams and the fact that there are two Mary Lee Walsh's (one good, one evil) and assumed that was the back story for Mary Lee Walsh. Otherwise I guess I don't understand why he wrote that story which has nothing to do with anything.

I really like Mary Lee Walsh and the part she played in christory, it was the first time Chris was confronted with an authority figure who wouldn't put up with his bullshit or make any special concessions for him. She basically told Chris to either toe the line or fuck off.

Looking at Chris' work, it's all pretty obvious he writes this stuff without any real forethought and pretty much pens whatever is on his mind and/or whatever he believes is persecuting him at that particular moment. That said, when someone calls him out on his shit, what usually happens is he makes some crazy logi leaps in his comic to try and redeem his "honest and true" name. Te Walsh story was retconned by him because someone called him out on it. Just the same the bizzare "apologies" Chris ham-fisted into Sonichu #10 by Alec's request, all the while torturing and killing Alec & crew.

He doesn't understand the concept of being apologetic. His closest grasp of it seems to be the cartoon form of apology where a character prostrates themselves for a few seconds and everything corrects itself. I honestly believe he thinks it works like this, that he can do a "I so sowwy, look I cry for you," act and people are obligated to say, "Oh, I accept your apology, let's be friends."

I guess with Chris it could be taken as childish retaliation. Making MLW a witch is like a little kid drawing that teacher who yelled at him for breaking a rule in an unflattering way, at least that's what it seemed like at first. Then there's the nude MLW pic and essentially fantasizing about murdering you and the other members of the Asperpedia Four and it goes beyond just childish retaliation. Granted, Chris never makes good on threats, but still...

Chris is a coward, and his only way of getting retaliation is through brutally murdering everyone in his fantasies. I remember when he was discussing with that one phone call with Alec that stuff he draws in his universe suddenly become real in some alternate reality where they live out their own lives. Maybe he thought executing the Asperpedia 4 or throwing MLW into jail was his way of assuring himself that his trolls are suffering somehow and that he has some degree of control over his sad, pathetic life. His grasp of reality is tenuous at best.

I would buy the "control over own life" hypothesis a bit more if the executions weren't so very OTT. Like, if he just wanted them permanently disposed of, he could have had them executed by firing squad offscreen. It still would have been a ridiculous punishment for "mislabelings" of his cartoon characters, but it wouldn't be Fatty reveling in blood and gore, and drawing -- was it Mao's? -- snapped bones protruding bloodily through his skin. There's just too much torture porn in Sonichu 10 to be entirely about arranging his life to his own satisfaction.

I always had the impression that Chris was forced to do the two Marys thing. It was either one of the changes he had to make the the comic in the Miyamoto saga (no real people) or something his parents made him do. It doesn't look like something Chris would have done of his own free will.
