Sister services, email, and search will continue to be negatively effected by the attacks. I made a thread to talk about it, if you're into networking.
Ever since that infamous study showing the chicken in the sweet onion teriyaki in particular contained less than half chicken DNA, though ironically seeming to be a fave here, I couldn't ever look at their menu the same, regardless of veracity.

The yoga mat bread put me off, even after they removed that chemical. It was a good reminder that everything there is shit quality.
They overdress everything, which I guess is understandable since most customers do seem to ask for "More. More. More" mayo or ranch. But I don't enjoy a river of ranch pouring out of the sandwich with each bite.
But what really, really put me off was reading that Jared's wife claimed they knew Jared was a pedo, just hid it, and continued to let him work. Including speaking at schools. Look, there's too many better sandwich shops out there for me to support any of that, rumors or not. (Sorry I'm too lazy to look up a link for you.)
Their cookies are good, I'll give them that.

It seems to be the only sub chain in Russia, so I get their sub of the day sometimes, but agree that the tastes seem oddly samey unless you are doing a fully custom order. Even in the wrap firm.

I like Subway but I'd choose Firehouse or Jersey Mikes or Larry's Giant subs if I had a choice.

I like their roast beef, too, but my personal favorite is the cold-cut combo, with pepperoni and provolone haha
I like that one too. I like the Italian when i want pizza flavors as a sub with tomato sauce and melted mozzarella.
I used to like the chicken pizza one - chicken with pepperoni melted mozzarella with tomato sauce. So messy but so damn good. I sometimes can talk someonw into making it for me.
I like Subway because there's one in walking distance and it's a lot cheaper than other places when there's good deals. And I get free cookies.
That's their appeal.
They upped the price too much. For 5 bucks it was good enough, for 8+ not so much. Similar thing is happening with Taco Bell.
Other than that it's pretty much pure elitism I think. Usually the only people I see downright *hating* on Subway (or any fast food chain) are hipsters or internet nerd types.

The Subway near me is offering two footlongs for 10 which is pretty good.
I also got some mailed coupons. They're all buy 1 six inch, get one free. So basically 4.19-4.75 dollar (thats including tax) foot longs, depending on which you pick. Went and got some today on wheat bread. Bread still sucks, but the rest was fine.

Over here with our Gestapo-esque food handling standards Subway has taken far too many hits in 'horror kitchen' local exposes to be credible to anyone not poor or a student. Indifferent managements, bad staff, dropped food 'rescued' from grimy floors, mold developing in cooked meat... the only redeeming thing about them are their cookies and even then it's obvious they're drowned in sugar.
