What makes the perfect troll and who came closest? -

The perfect troll has always been, and always will be........Chris himself.
In all seriousness.it depends how you define the "perfect troll" Is it the one who upset him the most or got the biggest reaction? The one who got the most content or strung him along the longest? The one who played on his prejudices, hypocrisy and ego to show him up?
I imagine everybody has a differing opinion and without meaning to sound sycophantic, I enjoyed Alec's stuff with Asperchu the most. But my favorite Chris related content and sagas will always be the things with the least amount of outside interference such as the Megan saga and The gameplace stuff.

I think the best trolls were the ones who used his own weaknesses against him, to (try to) make him think a little bit about his own life, and how it's not as perfect as he thinks it is. While also being hilarious (and not hurting or tormenting him too much).Anchuent Christory said:

All she originally wanted was a video shout-out. There are no disgusting sex logs. Nothing she ever did was designed to hurt him -- no BlueSpiking, no A-Logging. She chatted with him on the phone a lot; she even provided insight into Bob and Barb, thanks to having a really detailed background that Barb could take notes on; and in the process of just portraying this one character, she provided an unusual amount of Chris-generated crazy. Christian and the Hedgehog boys tracks! Mass media exposure! Layla Flaaffy and her romance with Punchy! The Wedding and Giant Penis comic sequences! A whole Q&A... the amount of content from one person humoring Chris a little is just amazing.
Liquid Chris is an excellent runner-up. A few imitation videos spawned a frenzied saga, the Father Call, the comic where Chris obeys the speed limit on the way to maim his romantic rival for life, lots of good stuff. But for sheer ratio of effort expended (i.e. relatively little) to content produced by Chris (epic amounts), Ivy still wins this one for me.

Personally I would consider Ivy and those like her as "sources" rather than trolls as they did not try to enrage or entrap chris, merely get him to leak info
I believe the definition of the "perfect troll" is one who is able to permanently place him or herself in Chris's mind as the epitome of a particular misery, and thus produce hilarious videos, comments, and even villainhood in sonichu. This can be done by masterminding, or making Chris believe said troll is the "mastermind", of a particular ill in Chris's life, simple persistence in an action which Chris finds intolerable, or

As demented as bluespike was, he did get Chris to drive to Ohio. That's just awesome.

So far, my favorite has to be the Liquid/Solid Chris saga. The premise was just so absurd. It was also funny because Chris was the ONLY person who was not in on the joke and thought that there was any doubt as to who the real Chris was.
The troll seemed to understand who he was mirroring and parodying quite well. I like how he didn't ask Chris to do anything too crude or cruel, just got chris to 'shoot' him in an episode of Sonichu and got him to make several funny videos.

Liquid Chris was the best troll. He was the only major troll who wasn't actively out to harm or exploit Chris, and despite how "Ian" saw it, it was a good-natured ribbing that masterfully played off his ego and his delusions over Sonichu's copyright and invisible fanbase. Liquid was a real, tangible "character" in his saga with a face and voice that we witnessed regularly, which made the arguments and contests feel a lot more meaningful. He also did a great job of mimicking "Ian's" peculiar mannerisms and speech.
Ivy generated some of Chris' best content, sure, but she was just one of a long line of trolls posing as sweethearts who we didn't actually see.

I'd actually have to say Snyder would be the perfect troll. Without even trying or meaning to he's caused Chris to crash into slumber more than anyone else, caused more tardrage than Clyde Cash, Mimms, Megan or Mary Lee Walsh and banned Chris from the only place he really wanted to be (though that was justified) and in doing so cockblocked OPL from being able to make a move on his gal-pal Megan. Snyder is, inadvertently, the perfect troll.
My favorites have always been ones like Vivian G, Ivy, and Jackie because they don't even have to act like trolls. They ask Chris to improve himself and attempt to accomplish his goals, and they a're a testament to the fact that Chris will never change. Even when approached with the possibility of getting everything he claims he's always wanted, if it requires even the tiniest bit of effort he will always Chris it up and lose everything.

I think the guy from the Magical Man Potion video was a pretty great troll (if he even was a troll). He was able to tolerate Chris's real-life presence and the filthiness of 14 Branchland Court, and he was also a male whom Chris didn't mind hanging out with and actually allowed in his house. I mean, there are very few videos of Chris where you he's on camera talking to another individual, so it would have been pretty cool if the Magical Man guy had done more stuff with Chris at his home or elsewhere.
It's really hard for me to pick. I think I enjoyed the Liquid Saga the most at the time, but I really love the sheer audaciousness of the Cash Chronicles (That stuff spans more than one saga, remember). That was the moment where trolling was changed forever. It became something akin to performance art. At some point I'd live to take the mumble chats and add dramatic music in various places to turn it into an audio play.
