FFXIV ToS
I learned that playing like an absolute retard and subtly fucking with your raid group is completely acceptable, because the ToS says that telling or even suggesting other people how to play is a reportable offense.
I had fun playing on an old account and fucking with endgame dungeon groups to no end as a healer or tank.

This isn't even a shitpost, it's actually a very good book that will teach you how to negotiate effectively.

Marine! The Life of Chesty Puller
It's a book on how he became a leader of men. It documents his life from a private to Lt. General. He never forgot about the lower ranks and one of my favorite stories from the book:

For enlisted military nerds:

[paraphrasing from book]: Chesty walked up on a lieutenant officer (the lowest ranked officer in military--for non-mil nerds) ripping into an enlisted guy as he was saluting him, because he didn't salute him as he walked by. Chesty asked the officer 'What's up?" and the Lt said, "He didn't salute me as I walked past him, so I'm making him salute me 100 times as punishment." Chesty told the Lt, "every time an enlisted renders a salute to an officer the officer (unless occupied) has to render one back." So, Chesty (with his whole company watching) stood there and watched the enlisted salute the officer 100 times and the officer rendering it back.

On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King is a wonderful book on how to strengthen and focus your skill. I would also include Nataile Goldberg's Writing Down the Bones as supplemental reading for anyone looking to better themselves at writing fiction.

There are parts of the Bible that really help me and make me feel hopeful when nothing else can console me.

My friend gave me her copy of "You Are A Bad*ss" by Jen Sincero and that was really helpful as far as getting yourself in the mindset to change your life. The second I finished it I knew I was going to read it again instead of giving it to someone else to read. I'm reading her book about making money now and I like it so far.

"The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" by Marie Kondo was extremely helpful because it not only taught me new cleaning/tidying methods but helped me understand why I would rather donate clothes and items to charities instead of giving stuff to family. In the case of my family the stuff I took care of always wound up in the trash, full of holes or covered in stains when they used them and it bothered me a lot so it was like the book justified my feelings, that I was doing something right in not wanting to see my old things mistreated. It taught me reasons why cleanliness is a mindset and why people neglect it.
