Depending on what additional charges are added to the plea deal (there will be more), after his prison sentence is over, I can see a condition of his parole putting him in some sort of halfway house for exceptional parolees where he has to stay until deeded no longer a threat or it gets closed from lack of funding.

Chris is an imbecile, but also a psychopath, just a very stupid and cowardly one, with obsessions and fantasies that (somewhat) led him away from 'conventional' harm. If said fantasies are of any indication, he would have done worse, if not for cowardice and lack of physical strength, plus his overwhelming addiction to his games, toys etc..

Notice that whenever it came down to it so to speak, Chris was shown on multiple occasions to be uncannily intelligent or dedicated.

The medallion-up-the-butt incident, playing the trans card (for sex), warring against ED and others (threat of having all his junk taken away, courtesy of Bob and his gloom talk), hedgehog defensive posture incident (threat of being attacked by people), screaming, raging, 'voodoo doll' recreations, morbid drawings (hinting an understanding of how such things work and what they do to people), also the latter 4 being specific, elaborate and targeted.

Or, when he insinuated having an older woman as a girlfriend to Null:
Psychopaths have a peculiar double compulsion of bragging about their escapades while simultaneously obfuscating them, wanting that ego rush, but knowing that what they are showing off could have net negative consequences for them. He wanted to share the 'good news' with Null, but knew that it could get him in serious trouble.

And then the older woman turned out to be Barb. No goddess-preaching or crazy. Instant flight, then radio silence until he was found by the police and taped by Ralph.

But by far the biggest giveaway is how, outside of situations where he or an object of his fixations faces some kind of threat, perceived or real, Chris never displayed or displays the slightest level of distress, and how his conduct is generally fluent and smooth, not staggered and delayed like someone struggling with insanity or having severe neural defects.

Chris also never acknowledged fault for anything, and automatically shut out everything from his mind that went in direct, express contradiction to his imaginary pocket reality. His ability to pick up on the latter is strangely precise.

For an empathic person to behave like this, one would have to be subjected to some serious brainwashing (never happened to Chris), or extremely mentally exceptional. Someone sufficiently damaged to not even register such a brutally awful life and whatever comes with it would not be capable of thinking
remotely as sophisticated as Chris was. Not unassisted, at the very least.

Autists and such too pick up on pain sooner or later. It's simply not an excuse.

As for his present behavior? It's his limited, human brain suffering an overload from the exponentially growing stack of lies and fantasies he engineers.

People misunderstand the nature of Chris's behavioral problems when they take his so-called "delusions" and other ravings at face value. Chris is not genuinely misinterpreting reality; he does not actually believe his own insane daydreams. He plays make believe to make himself feel good, and he knows it. All his maladaptive behaviors and life problems stem from his lack of remorse and shame, which are essentially the characteristics that define a bad person, or a psychopath. His autism is barely a factor at all and he is by no means mentally disabled in the typical sense. True, it is not reasonable to believe he will ever teach himself how to properly negotiate his way in life, e.g. work a(n actually useful) job to pay his own bills, but it is not because of his autism, but rather because past a certain age you just can't teach someone how to feel bad for doing wrong, or how to delay gratification for a healthy long-term life plan. And once you're like 30, you're never going to learn something so fundamental, no matter what happens.

I believe it is accurate to say that Chris will never be capable of caring for himself, paying his own way to subsistence, and his very existence will always be an economic burden to others, not to mention an ambient danger to himself and everyone in his proximity. Furthermore, I would go so far as to say that he's basically cursed, as he will never achieve life satisfaction beyond the temporary numbing of his stress with his bizarre coping mechanisms.

With all this in mind, the pragmatic thing to do with a person such as this is to euthanize them. Even though I think there are more moral considerations to take into account, and I certainly wouldn't volunteer to be the one to make a judgement like that about anyone, I believe putting a painless end to his life is the most merciful response. His existence is nothing but confusion and suffering, and the most positive thing he adds to this world is the laughter that comes as an unintentional side-effect of his singular awfulness.

Selfishly, however, I hope he lives to old age and continues entertaining us with antics long after he gets out of jail. But still, that's what should happen to him, in my opinion.

Even if this moves forward to a trial, good luck trying to get some jurors who haven't been exposed to Chris via CWCki/Geno vids/ word of mouth/Fox news. They'll find that Chris has poor impulse control and would more than likely be contained for an X amount of time because they know Chris is more than likely to repeat the same offense. I doubt prison would do much, since Chris has been in jail for more than two months, and still continues to 'cope' in unhealthy ways. A plea deal with severe psychotherapy and a brief institutionalization is the only way to 'rehab' Chris, but even with that, I doubt Chris would change for the better.

I've always stated that Chris is perfectly capable of doing useful labor, but it has to be labor with no delay of gratification. It has to be a situation where if Chris does a useful thing, he is immediately rewarded, and if he ceases to do the thing, the reward stops. This would be very successful in employing a lot of otherwise-unemployable people who suffer from conditions similar to Chris, and it might even be useful in borderline situations where people have trouble achieving their goals due to limited ability to delay gratification. If you could get the work/reward cycle down to under 5-10 minutes, this could reach even people as far gone as Chris.

Manufacturers of gambling machines have this down to a science, although in those cases the "work" is simply giving the casino money. Imagine if you could give the casino labor instead. Imagine little work rooms where retards like Chris could do something useful and be rewarded with blinky jingling lights and coins dumping into a hopper the more they worked.
