What was 10th and 11th Grade like for him? -

We all know how much high regard his holds his senior (sorry, seinor!) year at High School, and how he ended it by crying after getting his diploma, THAT upset that its all over. We all know what he thought it was all like, yet it wasn't all strawberry fields, since as of 12th Grade, all the girls were only letting him sit with them out of pity. ]P

But you know something? I had started to wonder what he thought High School was going to be like before he entered it. Like, was he ever blinded by shows like Saved by the Bell and Boy Meets World and thought he was simply going to be the shit when he got there?

I could remember thinking of Grade 10 as the "Big Kids" Class and thought of them as Stereotyped High Schoolers. I had then wondered what Chris thought when he entered the 10th Grade. Were the girls giving him the pity by this point and was he so stupid autistic that he just sat in the corner playing Game Boy?

I guess he must've sort have expected High School hijinx from Saved by the Bell to just happen rather than him getting the drive to make it happen himself. Now he wishes he could do it all again.

I'm gonna admit, I kinda thought Pokemon wasn't quite out yet by the time he made it to 10th Grade. Its release coinciding when High School is supposed to become "awesome" for Chris is so eerie to me.

Next, he had Trigonometry...I'd hate to be Christian when his nerves kicked into action after waking up from a "notey" snooze cruise, but I was.

On the 4th day, we follow Christian on an easier school day, an "Even Day." 1st, he went to English class...he cruised on a "Zzzz," while starting to read a "Dollhouse" story.

Next, in Christian's Contemporary Living class, he, Tiffany and Sarah were fixing filled pasta shells, garlic bread and a salad. Christian did not have any salad; lettuce or tomatoes (and a few other vegetables) alone makes him feel green in the face.

After the long wait for the pictures to be taken, being crowded like a sardine surrounded by immature teenage boys, and having the hot, hot sun shining down on him and everyone else, he went back to the shady entrance.

And finally, after a hard "odd" day, he rides home on a bus, but unfortunately, it had a few "slow-in-the-minds" on it.

Man. : I It's strange reading his report, it still feels like "current Chris" wrote it. Also...he kinda sounds like he was a douchy kid.

So lets bring up the "Art Projects" he did in High School that he thinks were such hot stuff, like that Sonic Totem, the skinny Fox McCloud, the creepy Chris-chan/Ed Gein face. I don't know why he would think all the girls would scream over him for making such childish things and to get commended for them. I remember getting my School year 1994 Yearbook, and seeing that years Seniors (sorry, Seinors) beautiful art. Artwork of realistic turtles, Roger Rabbit being chased down the street in great detail, these artists today are well established artists and are hot shit too. But they spent years perfecting their art. Chris spent his High School making silly little kids things but moped that he didn't get any commendations.

But again, I want to bring up his early life in High School. When you enter the double digits, when you're old enough to know you're changing, 10th and 11th Grade. This would coincide with the years 1997-1999. Pokemon wasn't out yet, let alone big, so no CWC in an Ash Ketchum outfit, no updating Pokemon websites (the internet still hadn't fully, quite-yet, caught onto the mainstream either), what was it that Chris did in High School?

Did he just sleep through each and every class. Walk to the cafeteria, thought he was being loved by the girls at lunch, play Game Boy at recess, sleep after taking a test (and getting an A+ on each, if we are to believe he was on the Honor Roll...) and go back home to his Good Burger movies and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog VHS cartoons instead of hanging out with his friends like on Saved by the Bell, which he expected High School to be like.

But since it wasn't, why does he want to relive it so bad?

He saw girls in a different light in high school because he hadn't yet begun his love quest. And I don't know if he necessarily slept that much. But otherwise, yeah, this paragraph is probably what his time in high school was like. Honor roll is only a B average (or it was in my high school, at least), so it wouldn't be too hard for Chris to have gotten it. And maybe Chris was in some tard classes.

It's like if I said if only I knew what I was doing with the stock market back in elementary school, I'd be a millionaire by now.

I was retardedly naive about the stock market when I was 7, but even if I had known how it worked, that doesn't mean I would have magically known which stocks to pick and when to buy and sell and never lose any money. And if Chris had known in high school he wanted to pound some tomtom, that knowledge wouldn't magically give him the skill to pull it off.

He treats High School like it was supposed to be like Saved by the Bell today, and I really can't imagine him not checking it out at least sometime during its original broadcast. I mean, I was 8 years old watching it after VR Troopers back in the day, and I enjoyed it and knew what was going on.

Either way though, I'm not saying high school IS supposed to be like Saved by the Bell.

It wouldn't surprise me if Chris was a fan of SBTB, but he's never given us any indication as such. The only show he's mentioned is a YouTube thing, which also happens to have a character named Zach.

By Chris' "seinor" year he was comfortably in his rut and I think that's how he remembers his school days. But there were probably some dark times before then that he's pushed out of his mind. The first days of high school as a freshman can be a little uncomfortable for anyone. And although it's generally considered un-cool to pick on the tard kids, there are always bullies that will pick on just about anyone they don't approve of. I don't think Gym/P.E. has been mentioned by him, just picture Chris being forced to run a lap around the track or change/shower with other boys. He was probably excused for being "special" and/or being the waterboy got him out of it.

We do know that Chris was in "special" classes because many of the teachers he showed in his slideshow are special-ed teachers. And there's the mysterious bus incident:

At age 15, Chris was "demoted" from the regular school bus to the Special Ed bus. Out of all the weird, embarrassing details of his life that he has no problem discussing, this is one experience that he has rarely spoken about. It's clear that Chris was scarred by this experience of being forced to spend time with the seriously mentally handicapped, or "slow-in-the-mind retards" as he calls them.

Chris switched to the Bus of Doom after a confrontation with another student on the Normal Bus. Much like every other time Chris claims to have been physically assaulted, it is unclear exactly what happened. He has only told the story twice; in one version it sounds like Chris started a fight because he wanted to get off the bus first, and in the other version it sounds like a niggo punched him for no reason. Whatever happened, Chris cites this incident as the reason for his exclusion from Gen Pop.

In "The Song of Christian," he says, "My loneliness is off the scale." Here we have Chris at 16 explaining how he feels. This is a very important and telling document. It is a far more valuable historical source than his later ramblings at age 23 about how he was surrounded by gal-pals and very popular and outgoing. The truth is that Chris was unhappy in high school, much like he is unhappy now. He looks at the past through rose-tinted glasses. He has completely idealized high school and has "programmed his mind," as he does with everything that makes him uncomfortable, to remember only the good parts. The truth is that he was isolated and lonely. He never spent time outside of school with anyone except his parents. He went straight home and played video games and masturbated. His 18th birthday party was the huge exception to the rule, which is why he continues to remember it. As others have said, his current dream is to time-travel back to high school with all the wisdom and experience he has now, and lose his virginity as a teenager. In reality, high school was not an especially joyous time.

I have always wondered about the bus incident. Contrary to Chris's habit of verbal diarrhea about his troubles he never speaks about this one.

Did it scare him that much that he refuses to think about it, locking it away in his dim little mind or is it of so little concern to him that he just doesn't consider it worth mentioning?

You'd think being relegated to the bus of doom would rank right up there with his sad graduation day or getting ban hammered from the Game PLace.
