What will happen with the hoard when Barb dies?
Will Chris clean the house and sell items that are worth something or he will just leave everything as it is?

I didn't realize your typo at first and wondered what "horad" was.

But now I'm thinking Horad is probably the name of some pagan deity Chris will invent to pray to, since Emmanuel GodJesus won't heed his prayers for peoples' deaths.

The man shits himself because he doesn't want to get up to go to the bathroom. And you think he's gonna clean up a hoarded house?
End of discussion.

Also, yes there's many threads about Barbby's death. I find it morbid TBH.

No offense, but aren't there a whole bunch of threads about this topic?

About one a month, or more whenever Chris does anything notable.

As for your question: Probably nothing. Chris doesn't have the drive to clean it up or do anything to make it livable. It's going to sit and fester until it develops sentience and devours Chris, at which point it will promptly keel over and die.

He will probably add to it by buying more Legos to make himself feel better after Barb's death.

Barb has written into her will that if a single piece of the hoard is removed after her death, she'll change the locks.

Yeah, I agree. Chris won't do anything about it, so the hoard will most likely sit there until Chris gets kicked out of the house by the Health Department or whatever, or until the house burns up (a very real threat for hoarders), or until Chris dies (prematurely, probably) as well.

Anyway, as far as I know the Chandlers do own that house so unless Chris does anything with it, it's probably going to ferment there until the Virginia Health Department comes around. And considering how it seems no one (as in the city council or whatever) has done a single thing yet even as overgrown and foreboding as it is now, it probably would be awhile.

And as macabre as it may be, I do hope Chris contacts the authorities when she does pass if she passes at home, instead of just sit around and play vidya. After all, we all know how much indifference he showed when Bob was on his deathbed.

It will remain there until a fire (14BC is old enough to have dangerous aluminum wiring, and stuff like the furnace & water heater heat up externally, especially if surrounded) and CWC and Barb die in it (likely) or hurricane (not unknown in Virginia), whatever is left will be scrounged by neighbors, chantards, homeless people and weeners, and the Cadillac and BMW will end up in a chop shop if untouched or not badly damaged.

If Barb dies, Chris is going to panic and call someone. He's not that lethargic and uncaring.

And as for Life after Barb, Chris is probably going to stay in that house, collecting his :tugboat: and playing vidya. Sooner or later, the house is going to cave in, or catch fire, or get smashed by a storm, and Chris will either be dead or homeless. He'll either get a pauper's funeral or end up living in an old junk car somewhere, raving madly at passersby and creeping out the local McDonald's until his heart gives out.

Well, mortgage payments and whatnot.

Well, no, he wasn't really aware that Bob could die at the time. When Bob did die, Chris got pretty fucked up.

Maybe it's because my own father died recently but bold comment hit home hard. Poor Chris. How awful.
