Man, it's been a while since I've actually said anything in here. I think we might actually, finally, genuinely be witnessing the end of Homestuck. The only thing that's left at this point is the commissioned work of Homestuck 2. No one seems to really be in charge of the brand anymore, I highly doubt there's anything resembling an organized effort to make Act 3 of Hiveswap...it's honestly somewhat sad, but at the same time I'm glad fans can't keep getting pissed off and let down over and over by people who simply don't care.

To think it would go out not with a bang, but a quiet whimper. Strangely befitting.

Actually, wait, I kinda wanna see him do a porn game because I bet he'll either go full retard on it, or we're gonna see all the degeneracy just ooze out from his psyche and onto the finished product. Either way, could be entertaining.
It would be like the reverse of Humanimals, a comic that turned normal situations into morbid humor through poorly contained fetishism. This other project would be an accidental work of psychological horror through extensive detail of Andrew's abuse fetish.

I honestly don’t think non-pandering Hussie would’ve handled the comic any better. Act 6 isn’t a mess because of the tumblr pandering, it’s a mess because he clearly had no idea how he was actually supposed to END the story.

Like sure maybe some egregious shit like resurrecting Vriska wouldn’t have happened, but I doubt the story would’ve been any good either way.
IDK maybe if they revived the version of vriska with character development all her "improvements" would be more understandable? Doesn' change the fact Hussie wrote himself into a corner with 4 immortal final bosses

Reader: mourn Homestuck

You resist the urge to gravedance, barely. Not out of respect, or loss, but from sheer, unbridled apathy. The Homestuck you knew died ages ago, and whatever shambling, fetid thing that lies in a heap at the bottom of the Eternal Staircase is just another reminder of wasted potential, like watching a dear friend slowly degrade from a pretty cool, funny dude to a wasting wreck that begs for the sweet release of Snoop Dogg's Tunescythe.
It would have upset you more if you hadn't seen it coming miles away. Given time to see the trainwreck happen in slow motion, what should have been a heartfelt moment is now just a sigh and a shrug before you go on about your life. You had a good time, but you need to move on, because your old pal Homestuck just can't anymore.

You pause, unscrewing the cap from the jug of apple juice. It's more of an obligation, but it still feels almost proper.

Almost.
