What's so special about UAE? -

I get told about it being the most richest country ever without any explanation, and how it got the most tallest building that literally nobody gives a shit about. What's really good and bad about UAE and why it's so special for "rich" towelheads?

It already is a wasteland. Take away the oil and natural gas and you've got nothing. To their credit they are trying to diversify their economy, but you still live in a wasteland.

I liked the water park near that weird sail building/hotel. Having water jets shoot you up ramps rather than climbing steps to get to the top was fun.

Plus it wasn't Bahrain. When those are your only two choices of destinations, that counts for a lot.

Some say the reason we (the US) are interfering in Syria is so a natural gas pipeline can be extended across through Syria to service the EU, while minimizing Russian gas imports.

That is what...some say...and some would mention the UAE as one of the sources.
