Do you think you can make me do it again?

Sadly I don't think Gail will ever wise up, and if she does, it'll only be for a little while. I don't see him leaving there.

Jace's poor diet and drug use will catch up with him sooner or later if he doesn't get it under control.

If just Jace, in a hospital for severe digestion system issues and maybe breathing too.

If others are involved, either he's in a hospital because some schizoid wanted to kick his ass for pretending to be a Marine or he's homeless after moving out (if that happens).

I really hope he gets some professional medical help for his mental health problems, and that he engages with the treatment.

Eventually it'd be ideal if he moved away from his mother, and stopped using his current set of screen names. Get away from the Qu'rans and the "I'm a ghorst!" phone calls.

Can't see him getting that lucky, though.

Some kind of nice mental health inpatient environment where he's free to pursue some hobbies is probably the best that could be hoped for.

Well, he can't follow his treatment, has very little effective supervision at home and he's got the IQ of a lightly retarded doorknob. All-in-all, I'd say Jace has about as much future as Chris-Tran.

Jace's living with his mother is only temporary. Until she dies.

After that, the future is uncertain and unpredictable, but undoubtedly really, really dark. I don't think Robert can be there for him after that, he probably will have his own kids to deal with.

In the near future, I don't see any immediate pressure on him to change his lifestyle, unless Gail wises up. I predict another five-ten years of him living his gamerbro life, with the only substantial change being his friends moving on with their lives and not hanging with Jace.

The optimistic rainbow version is Jace coming to grips with his condition, staying on his meds, staying off drugs, and maybe getting a min wage job somewhere. I think that's a legit possibility.

Best case scenario -
Using his tugboat to the best of his ability, a part-time job, better friends and his own apartment

More likely -
He bounces back and forth between crashing with his so-called friends because Gail keeps kicking him out of the house for being Jace, he wears out his welcome and alienates his friends and the cops eventually pick him up in the middle of winter while he's babbling about finishing the fight and deserving respect for being a future retired wounded Marine.

Then he goes back and forth from jail to homeless shelters to the psych ward for the rest of his life - this is what happens to people with untreated mental illness, so Jace would be no different

Jace, much like Chris, will probably wind up on the streets when his mom dies. He'll have run-ins with the law and will probably do time in the county lockup. One day a particularly cold winter will blow in and he'll freeze to death, or he'll piss of some other homeless guy more crazy than him and will get stabbed. Not A-Logging, just being realistic.
