However, despite many reports of injury or even death, his ability to evade death or capture (For example, I remember hearing that during the Battle of Mosul, there was a vehicular IED attack that broke the siege just long enough for him to escape.) is so absurd that it has become a meme among those following the conflict.

There have been many times where it was reported that he was killed, and he didn't release any audio messages for a while. So everyone got excited, and then, like he was trolling us, he releases an audio message saying he's fine.

With the Islamic State so far having lost over 90% of the territory it had at its height, some speculate Baghdadi isn't even in his own "country" anymore. Where do you think he is?
