It's been so long since I've had a real cola that I forget what they taste like. I used to like Coke with a meal or Pepsi if I were to drink it without food. As far as diet cola goes, for me, it's Dr. Pepper.

I will admit, I will only stick with name brands for cola and sodas. I'm not particularly choosy unless it's orange/fruit soda. Faygo always makes the best fruit flavored soda. Squirt is my favorite fruit soda. Blueberry Faygo would top it, but they don't make that anymore. Neither do they make Berry Sprite Tropical, but they have that at McDs now. Sucks about blueberry Faygo though, man. Pepsi is fun to drink because Joan Crawford used to manage the company and Pepsiman. I don't drink soda all the time though, I consider it a dessert item or to pair it with food when I am eating out.
In b4 "your weeaboo fagotry is spreading", I'll do my best to keep it contained, thank you very much. Shirakiku Ramune is always nice. It's a more mellowed Sprite (no, I still drink Sprite and Sierra Mist). So is melon soda. Problem is with serving portions (I drink like an American, fuck off self haters). I can't find a gigantic two liter portion like with Calpico or sake for ramune. Closest thing is Kimura with their big bottles, but their stuff has a mildly bitter aftertaste for some reason. White Peach Calpico is amazing. White Peach flavors must be kept secret from the normies, else they will ruin it like everything else.

I was a coke zero guy until recently, where the taste just seemed off. Dont know if they changed something or it was just a bad batch.

I stopped drinking all diet sodas recently, when I learned that one of the ingredients actually increases your appetite and can cause you to gain weight.

Royal Crown is okay, I don't think it's as bad as everyone says but I only get it if there's absolutely no sale on anything else.

Now if we're talking the whole coke vs pepsi thing I'm a Mexican Coke guy all the way. Cane sugar just plain tastes better to me than HFCS does. Though I remember while back Pepsi did a run called "classic" Pepsi or something that was made with cane sugar instead of HFCS and I thought that was just as good if not a little better than Mexican Coke. Not sure if they ever made it again since but I haven't seen it.

I flip-flop between the two diet versions and Diet Dr. Pepper, but I’ll lean towards Pepsi if I can find Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi.

You’re thinking of Pepsi Throwback, it’s been added to the regular lineup as “Pepsi Cola with Real Sugar”.

Also, Bundaberg ginger beer (it's a right pain in the ass to find state-side, at least where I am), and Maine Root. Their blueberry soda and their sarsaparilla are to die for.
Since you opened the door for discussions of fruity sodas I just gotta give my love to my all time favorite fruit flavored soda.
Shit is divine. It tastes almost exactly like the lemon lime popsicles my mom used to buy in these big bulk packs of 100 of 5 different flavors during the summer when I was a kid.
