...ok imma be honest here, i do quite like a well made meatloaf, and honestly I have never found a single culinary use for spam that couldnt be taken by better tasting better quality meat....but in terms of visuals alone those spam fritters look 1000% nicer

I can't stand Spam. I had an ex room mate that loved Spam. Spam in rice, Spam on bread. Every time it was his turn to cook, Spam. Before anyone asks yes he was Asian.

I was blessed with the knowledge of my husband's Grandmothers meatloaf recipe before she passed. I am grateful.

:powerlevel: I've never had meatloaf. It's not really a thing in Eurofaggyland. At least, not like in the pictures above (where it looks damned good). Recipe recommendations, please?

Spam fritters, though. Can we talk about how good they are? Yes, I know spam is full of fat and salt already and coating it in batter then deep-frying it is like french kissing a heart attack, but you haven't known pleasure until you've had a mouthful of that hot, salty meat with the glorious crispy, greasy coating. The fact that you can taste how bad it is for you is part of the pleasure. Couple it with some proper chip shop chips and you've heaven wrapped in newspaper. Death-inducing heaven, but we all know only things that're bad for you taste good, right?

Even the spam fritters of 1970s school dinners were delicious. A golden, fat-filled highlight in an otherwise dreary menu of cabbage and instant mashed potato. Absolute ecstasy.

Thank you, America, for Spam. Outside of WWE and nuclear weapons, truly your finest invention.

I've tried to see the appeal of spam, I really have, but the very best I can say about it is "it's edible."

Speaking personally, when it comes to unidentifiable and suspect meat, I am of the opinion that corned beef takes some beating. Get some beans, get some mashed potato, get some fried onions, you got a meal fit for a king right there. I mean, the king of Sealand or somewhere, but still.
