The Love Quest. Sonichu became a full-fledged comic, and then worldwide phenomenon, only because of the Love Quest. Without the quest, Sonichu would have been just a pile of custom Pokemon cards mouldering away in 14BC. (nothing just "stays" in 14BC, it "moulders away") Also, most of the trolling was directly enabled by his willingness to jump after any piece of china dangled in front of him.

I would also say the love quest. If it weren't for that then Sonichu would've been just another crap comic made by some generic lolcow. Due to the former's interference, the comic went from boring shit to readable shit.

I voted for the LoveQuest. His desperation to find a sweetheart is what made him ruin his relationship with the closest thing he had to friends. Also what got him in trouble for loittering at the mall and got him in trouble with Mary Lee Walsh.
Although I think you could also say that he was fucked from the beginning since his parents never corrected his behaviour, or helped him by taking him to therapy.

Mainstreaming a child who shouldn't have been mainstreamed, mixed with old, disconnected parents caused much of the crap-hole.

Society's view that all people slightly off can get away with anything because they don't know better and there's no point trying to improve them. That's what fucked Chris up and that's what fucks up a lot of people who get diagnosed with something.

Some good points raised here. Think about what Chris would probably be doing had he not been discovered by ED. He would be creeping at malls and slowly piddling his life away playing video games. Sure, he would have a little less stress, but that's about it. His discovery/MLW episode/Sonichu/arrest are symptoms of the root cause - Chris's selfishness.

He's a lazy person with lazy parents who lives in a lazy society. Everything with Chris went according to plan.
