White nationalist offers explanation of Shadow of the Colossus' religious subtext -

Fans of Shadow of the Colossus quickly picked up on its biblical reference to Nimrod and the tower of babel. But that's about where the digging stopped. No one has really tried to explain what this religious reference could mean. Now a white nationalist is offering an explanation that nobody else would have the guts to explore, let alone publish. And it's quite an interesting explanation. He suggests in addition to the biblical reference to Nimrod, other character names hint at Christian and Buddhist sources as well, and convincingly shows how these tie together.

I'm not going to copy paste the whole thing here, it's pretty fucking long, but if you're a fan of the game you might find it a worthwhile read.
