Who are your favorite and least favorite detractors? -

Snort Burnell videos are repetitive but Phil is repetitive. Between the occasional big drama is Phil saying the same thing every day: begging, snort, detractors, "if I'm being honest", throat clear, "muh wife", how he's changed, taxes, whining, throat clear, burp, cursing, complaining, vest, detractors, vest, snorting, vest. I think the Snort videos are pretty funny considering the sheer amount of boring content Phil puts out.

That is why no amount of repetition could ever prompt me to hold the kind of dislike for any detractor channel that I have for anyone protecting Phil out of a desire to either make sure that he is always providing them laughs, or just laugh at people like us. It's DSP, you only have so much to work with unless you're doing a Down the Rabbit Hole type of deal that is primarily for newcomers who have so much to get caught up on.

Of course, I'm assuming the detractor channels are not part of the effort to keep Phil around forever. Some of them could be, I suppose, but he's hardly the only lolcow to make videos about for attention, and he's not even the most outrageous one, so I'm doubtful. At the very least, I would hope that they can simply accept it when Phi goes down hard and move on with dignity and grace.

• Snort Burnell – Do people appreciate how difficult it is to make critiques of DSP that use ONLY CLIPS OF DSP? This is what Hegel called ‘immanent critique,’ a form of criticism that exposes contradictions in a piece of writing using only the ideas the writer himself uses, to show how he fails even on his own terms, on his home turf as it were. And she puts out two per day, AND they're fucking hilarious.

• Mannix – Stole a joke from a post I made here and just slapped it on his twitter. Come on dude.

Favourites:
Tevin - Watching his videos is what really introduced me to DSP further than just "the dood who sucks at games and masturbated on stream". His recorded videos are always great and contain the deep lore. Restreams are often funny and catch things that I don't notice. The TTS is nowhere near as invasive for me as it seems to be for some people. Also does great non-dsp related streams.
LSB - Really enjoy his "Week in DSP". Restreams offer a different perspective to Tevin's. Enjoy some of his own gameplay as well. Overall he seems chill and rocky is a legend.
Ludwig World Order - Awesome edits, genuinely funny videos.

Mixed Bags:
The 0utsyder - He grinds TIHYDPs which is awesome, but sometimes he includes Phil interacting with chat and shit like that and that's not what I really enjoy in a TIHYDP. Still entertaining as fuck though, I'd lean him more towards a favourite but I hate some of the """filler""" as mentioned before in his TIHYDPs.
Snort Burnell - I can't stand the pitched voice shit it drives me mental, but the videos are consistent and sometimes make me laugh.

Least favourite(s):
Mannix - Dude sounds like he's furious 24/7, feels so over the top. Also has stopped doing DSP videos to ride hype trains on YouTube for clicks.

Snort Burnell is like a public service announcement. Yeah it's not the most entertaining or slickly edited thing, but if you want to know what's going on in the World of Pigroach, straight from the Pigroach's mouth, then Snort Burnell will keep you informed and in the loop on everything notable, with at most a 1-day lag. Even daily restreamers do not necessarily provide this kind of utility, since they are restreaming everything, whether it's notable or not, and there's a lot more of the latter than the former. Snort Burnell does a good and timely job of separating the wheat from the chaff.

I quite like Might D, not least because they're short. 15 minutes is about all I can stand of Phil, so no idea how people make it through 2-3 hour restreams.

Least Favorites: Probably the entire DSP subreddit. They don't really contribute anything and just take from KF or Twitter.
I also don't really like Twitter a whole lot.

Favorites: David Davidson, Mighty D, Outsyder simply because I enjoy longer TIHYDP's.
Also everyone on KF. I only made my account after lurking for about a year or so, the autism on this board speaks to me. Some of your consistently make posts that make me laugh every time. Half of the fun of following DSP now has been coming on here and having a good time after every happening.

I don't think the sub-reddit should even count, seeings how the Reddit version of ANYTHING is going to be inherently inferior. Comparing even the lowest level detractor channel to the sub-reddit is seriously like comparing a hamburger made by Gordon Ramsay to one made by Phil. Assuming Phil can even make a hamburger.

My favorite would probably be Tevin because I am a fan of the deep lore stuff. Most people don't go back and watch 7 year old DSP content to find the lies and contradictions. Sometimes the gold dust is buried in the past.

LSB is entertaining, his lore game needs some work.

TheSecretLife made some really good year in review videos, but then he went fully retarded.

The SOK has some good deep lore from when it was happening. It's kind of hard to find the good stuff among their garbage.

DarkDave doesn't provide anything informative but he provides a needed service where you can watch any DSP stream without giving Phil the views. He also introduced me to the marble Olympics.

Ludwig World Order does some really good stuff. So did ElCrimsonKing.

I don't watch Snort Burnell. If I need to know what stupid stuff Phil said today, I can read it on the farms. The editing also kind of hurts the detractor community by misleading people into remembering things Phil never said. For example, "My favorite pasta? I prefer a penne, easy to eat" Phil never said this exactly, it was edited.

My two least favorites are James the Lesser and Jackal's Lair. Simply because they put up images of sexy women on their videos and the last thing I want to be thinking about while hearing about Phil is sex. I don't want my brain to somehow reconnect neurons or whatever to connect Phil with half naked women.

Favorite is David Davidson. He doesn't upload often but when he does it's always because something actually funny or substantial happened to Phil. Also he never uses meme clips which often end up being more annoying than funny on the other channels, it's just raw Phil footage

To be fair to us (yes, I was one of them), ANYONE defrauding such a thing should anger those who have more of a conscience than people like Phil do. The people who flew in to crow about him being unkillable and laugh at us before flying away never to return seemed to miss that, thinking it was all about Phil, and our desire to get one over on him. That's why there isn't any anger over him getting re-instated after some false DMCA strikes. Justice is actually served by Phil winning that one. Though it is a rather hollow victory, as 1) Phil still isn't exactly a sympathetic victim here, and 2) he likely has problems on the horizon that we won't necessarily back him up on because he won't be in the right.

That's fair, but I remember when it first started, people were just waiting for Phil to come crashing down. And then when it didn't happen some of these same people acted like their own lives were coming to an end and saying how they are going to close their Twitter accounts or whatever because of it. It's just pathetic to be this emotionally involved with some internet guy's life, and it seemed they were more angry over how Phil's life wasn't ruined than seeing a person getting away with bankruptcy fraud

For me the bankruptcy was kind of like an idiot trying to jump a canyon on his motorcycle.

"I'm going to just stop paying my mortgage". No way he is really going to do that.

He then reveals he did just that. What the fuck, this guy is a mad man.

Then he goes all in with a blatantly fraudulent bankruptcy. No way this is going to work. He said he doesn't own any electronics or a pet. He's going to crash hard.

Then he miraculously jumps the canyon. Everyone was watching to see him crash and burn but he didn't.

I mean I want to see the daredevil crash and get hurt, but I don't get upset when he doesn't. It's just a let down. He jumped the canyon safely, okay. I can watch a guy not crash anywhere. I want to see a crash.

Oh well. I'll just wait for his next stupid stunt and hope to see a crash eventually.

Well I'm relatively new, even though I've been lurking for awhile but of the people I know:

I like Tevin, LSB, DarkDave, Memology, 0utsyder, LWO and Snort, can't say I really hate anybody yet. I do have a few grievances though. Honestly Tevin taking a break from re-streaming DSP is kinda depressing. LSB only re-streams maybe once or twice a week. DarkDave has poor connection quality but I'm glad someone restreams the pig when noone else will. 0utsyder's videos used to have alot more editing and were more compact, but nowadays they use the same old clips and he doesn't really take the time to condense the boring stuff. Then again, to be fair, I don't think anyone puts out the sheer number of TIHYDPs that he does. That's about it though.

Ludwig and Memology both have pretty funny videos. Ludwig has some really funny edits. Memology has good edits as well. Snort has decent bite sized videos that are great to watch when you are taking a break from whatever else you are doing, the editing is pretty funny.
